I feel bad for Karlsson. He had to know it was a hand pass but the ref didn't blow the whistle. What was he supposed to do? Stop playing? He did the right thing so this sucks all around.
 
@Irishguy42 , you must be a politician to come up with your explanation for that hand play to be considered legal.

Even if the rule was written with some grey area subject to interpretation, hockey "regulations" (as in how it's been called by refs) consider it an illegal pass in ALL circumstances where puck off of hand a player get to his teammate without touching anyone in between whether there was intent or not. How many times does it happens in pretty much every game where opponents don't touch the puck and wait for a clear opportunity to control the puck even when originally where was noone in the vicinity of a place where puck was batted to.

EK's annoyed comment when asked about whether he thought it was a hand pass "well we're not playing handball" lol.

I get he had nothing to say but always better to go with standard "ref made the call on the ice and we have to play by it." Or the best: "We got pucks deep and worked hard and when you do that the play works out for you". Press would have been asleep before he was done answering, problem solved.
 
So, I have a problem with the officials not watching good enough, not so much with the goal sequence, UNLESS there is a better angle of Gus that show he did NOT touch the puck or pass it to EK. I figure if he did not actually make contact then this is way worse because the thing that resulted in a hand pass then was a direct movement of the puck to set a goal up, intentionally propelled that way or not. EK did the right thing, he wasn't going to not shoot.

Also not like it matters cause Boston's going to win the cup but

Bottom line is that as a player you play until the whistle and that's exactly why - because the play isn't dead until you're told it is.

On that note, this playoffs could've been an amazing showcase for the NHL and once again the league finds a way to shoot itself in the foot. Which seems to be a regular occurrence these last few weeks.

I have a pretty good sized bet on San Jose from the beginning of October to win the cup. I don't care if they fix it. Let's f***ing go Sharks

What is a little fuzzy in the angles I've seen is whether or not it touched Bouwmeester on the way to Nyquist. It could have potentially grazed off his knee/shin before Nyquist touched it.
 
I hope we trade Kreider to a borderline team for their 1st. That with Dallas's 1st and we might have a few lottery potential 1st rounders. I'm slightly addicted to the idea of winning the lottery.
 
Yeah I'm wondering what Canes social media can do with that hurricane tracker of theirs hitting Boston. Made a turn out to sea? To the golf course at Sawgrass?
