That was a weird play all-around.

Was going to be an easy deflection away for Bishop, but the Blues player got his blade right in front and changed the trajectory before Bishop could touch it.
 
Could be interference. Can’t be sure hitting stick didn’t impact goal. Rule is impossible to get right.
 
Ah. Yes.

Classic NHL. Nobody knows what goaltender interference is. Coaches, refs, players...no one.
 
I don't like that call. He clearly ran into bishop's stick which impeded his ability to attempt a save after the deflection.

That’s why the rule is impossible to get right. You can’t extrapolate the future position of his stick so how do they know he doesn’t make the save without the contact? Need a black and white rule or nothing.

Judgement about physics angles and extrapolation is pointless.
