Apparently we chose the same teams, except for 1. I absolutely NAILED the Islanders over Pittsburgh! Woofreakinhoo!I genuinely went 0-8 in predicting first round winners. That's got to be the first time ever.
Not really, although I am on record as to wanting him back for the right price, I really liked Kevin and his game. I even think he may even get better, with the right linemates. Are you inferring bringing him back, or he wants to come back?
I would imagine the winner of the bracket challenge, coming from a Blue Jackets fan. I cant imagine too many participators choosing the Jackets, Canes, Colorado & Dallas.......let alone the Islanders and Blues to boot.Wouldn't fret too much about it. You are likely far from being alone in that with the way these playoffs have gone so far.

Only 2 series that the higher seeding moved on.....were Boston and the Sharks. Had they lost to Toronto and Vegas, I don't think anyone would have considered that a huge upset.
Truly a 1st round, not soon to be forgotten.
Go Stars.
We're all left with a bunch of nails and NO brackets! No wonder they are giving fans another shot for consolation prizes.Yeah, and having all 4 divisional leaders gone in the 1st round, really upset a lot of people's brackets.
Disagree.I know Spezza's time is coming but would I love to see him bumped to 2nd line with Zuccha. He could still do some damage.
He did not look good last game especially making 2 huge turnovers that Bishop had to come up big on but I trust Montgomery's judgement. He is a terrific coach.I know Spezza's time is coming but would I love to see him bumped to 2nd line with Zuccha. He could still do some damage.
Nice, we could be looking at 19 or 20.yup. Each of Carolina, Columbus, and Colorado have the power to each move the Winnipeg pick to 20, 19, and 18.
Dallas we are rooting for simply to upgrade their 2nd round pick to a late 1st (mind you, if they make it to the Conference Finals, their 14th pick is downgraded to a 28, 29, 30, or 31 depending on how they place in the semis and/or finals.
Dan O’Halloran is the worst referee in NHL history. He screwed the Rangers in the Cup finals against LA.
That’s him saying it’s a good goal.
That was goaltender interference.
What he doesn't realize if they hadn't won those cups at that time in the early 80's that franchise would have been long gone out of NY about 20 years ago. The worst is how they claim they pack the barn and how significant of a home ice advantage it is, apparently they only show up in droves like that when it's springtime or recently with a JT homecoming. Where were they during all their lean years? It didn't have to be 100% full but maybe if they were even at half capacity the whole time, they wouldn't be playing this round in BK and they might have had a new home on LI a long time ago.For all of us old enough to remember, just imagine if there was sports talk radio or social media in 1980-83.
I remember 8th grade in New Jersey in 1984. There were tons of Fishstick fans giving Ranger fans hell. By the time I was a senior in HS in 1988, those Fishstick fans had been knocked down to one absolutely annoying little ****stain.
I have one Facebook friend (he's here in Charlotte) who's originally from Long Island and is a Fishstick fan. He's out there today saying the Hurricanes are a terribly supported team and they should be moved to Charlotte. I guess they don't have pots and kettles on Long Island...
apparently the league apologized to vegas about the awful call...not that it does them any good
The thing is, it still is a penalty. Just like Foegle got a penalty. Add in the blood, call it 2 penalties for a 5 on 3... SJS still scores at least 2 goals. Vegas shouldn't have even had the 2nd goal they scored--that was most definitely a high stick, nor should they have won game 2 on that bull****tt goaltender interference call.
It all evened out in the end
If it's a penalty, then refs overlook that infraction 19,999 times out of 20,000 in a season. There is always a position battle between center men during a faceoff. The offense going to the net and the defense going to the points. At best the offensive forward would get called if the defensive forward fell in that scenario because that's how they call it.The thing is, it still is a penalty. Just like Foegle got a penalty. Just FYI: This is one of the dumbest rules in hockey. Just because there's blood, doesn't necessarily mean it's worse.
Good point.Hey @aufheben just a note on the sticky. The green and red on the gray background are nearly indistinguishable to those of us who are slightly color blind.
I don't really need it, because I know where we are, but I was thinking about other people who might be in the same boat as me.
