Here's a shitty graphic for the Winnipeg stuff

Wonder how the Canes would look if they traded for Hayes? Their D looks set for the most part but they could have used another strong center.

Just looking at the schedule, only the NHL could have a B2B in the second round of the playoffs for games 6 and 7 of a series.

For me, the first round is always a mess. Now that it's down to 8 I feel prepared to make some predictions. I see
Columbus
Carolina
Dallas
San Jose advancing.
Dallas is kind of wishful thinking, though, to be honest.

Islanders in 5
Jackets in 6
Blues in 6
Avs in 6

I hate that the Isles are having such an easy waltz into the ECF. It's ruining my whole playoff experience.
I think the isles caught the pens at just the right time. Carolina is hard. And hungry as f***. I think the isles are gonna fall to pieces. That's my reasoning, anyhow.

No. We need Colorado, Dallas, CBJ and CAR in the conference finals. If all of them are there we get 18. For each team not there it is one pick closer to 21.

Dallas has no impact on the WPG anymore. Either them or St Louis advances which has already guaranteed to move up a spot from 22 to 21

So the Peg pick stays at 21?

yup. Each of Carolina, Columbus, and Colorado have the power to each move the Winnipeg pick to 20, 19, and 18.
Dallas we are rooting for simply to upgrade their 2nd round pick to a late 1st (mind you, if they make it to the Conference Finals, their 14th pick is downgraded to a 28, 29, 30, or 31 depending on how they place in the semis and/or finals.

Nothing changes after round 1. Teams eliminated in rounds 1 and 2 are ranked together based on league standings.

The reason the Dallas win affected the pick is because it created a scenario with a guaranteed lower ranked team reaching the WCF with DAL and STL both being ranked lower than WPG in the reg season.

This goddamn draft pick is driving me nuts.

It's simpler now.

The pick is currently guaranteed 21st overall. It can move up a max 3 spots.

- COL beating SJS
- CAR beating NYI
- CLB beating BOS

Each of these results will affect the pick to climb 1 spot. DAL vs STL doesn't affect the pick, but it does affect the DAL pick we got in the Zuccarello trade

I think Carolina will beat the Isles. Can see Dallas beating the Blues. Sharks and Jackets should be too strong.

I don't want it anymore, just send it back.

CAR vs NYI is the kinda series where you wish the roof collapsed in both arenas. I know I'm likely missing out on some "exciting" hockey but I find both the sticks and Carolina insufferable (mostly due to their fans)

How are people so confident in the canes? Hope I’m wrong but this is the isles series to lose. One name - Mrazec

I think the upsets continue here

Blue Jackets vs Avs Cup Final

Well I'm pleased. I watched until the end of the 1st OT and thought these assholes will keep me up all night--so I went to bed. And now the Caps are dead. f*** off Ovie, Oshie, Orpik, Orlov and Oltby. No soup for you.

I don’t know what’s more impressive - that all division winners lost in the first round or that all wildcards won a series and moving onto the second round.

Went to bed after first OT but if you were watching and I know many here were it was all Carolina they had the caps on their heels and I woke up this morning just knowing the Canes won. Brutal loss for the Caps. Up 2-0 then 3-1 on home ice in that game
