Besides the Rangers being a disappointment this season, one of the things that sucks is how boring their style of play really is compared to other teams. Of course the games are entertaining for us since we root for them but endless board play and grinding is really so much less entertaining than more open styles of hockey. Such as the Sharks/Kings game that's on right now.
 
Some thing that's kinda sad yet kinda cool: Gabby's 3 goals from the jackets have been passes from Prospal, Artie, and Dubi.

The former Rangers are rocking the west.
 
So much for the game in hand on Ottawa.

Ottawa will make up their game in Boston the day after the regular season ends.

That lucky *** third line talent clown team catches a major break.
 
Score TV ticker reporting that Patrice Bergeron back from concussion tonight...that wasn't as long as I thought given it's his third documented concussion.

What are you talking about? They're loaded with young talent. Silfverberg, Zibanejad, Conacher, Cowen, etc. Not to mention vets like Spezza or injured guys like Karlsson. I wish we had all that speed and skill.

I'll give you speed, Spezza, and Karlsson.

Silfverberg and Zibanejad are 60 point guys AT BEST. All I hear is how great they're going to be. I don't see it. They are second liners. Really don't see a lot of difference between them and Hagelin and Kreider, other than MacLean lets his guys play without a dog training collar around their necks.

I wish we had all that speed too, because pressure is much easier with speed. However, I just don't believe speed necessarily = hockey talent.

For the exact reason I would also say it blows my mind when people say, "It's only game X, get off the ledge." If they took a few bad games early in the season and got 1-2 points from them, no one would be getting nauseous to this day when they think of Jokinen.

Every game counts, every point matters. Screw it though, we can forgive them for sucking early on in any season since it is easier to just scapegoat one play in game 82.

Oh boyyy if we get the 8th seed we are toast... 3-0 penguins. They are moving the puck at will on a 5-4 powerplay vs montreal. :laugh:
We would have to score about 4 goals per game just to have a chance. we can do that :sarcasm:

i noticed that as well since i have NHL center ice.. Rangers are the one of the most predictable and emotionless teams out there... i notice a different brand of hockey when i watch Kings Hawks Ducks Bruins etc

Yup. The Hawks are my '2nd' team, but I've found I can't watch them recently as it makes me too depressed about the way the rangers are playing.

Hawks been my 2ed favorite team since the Amonte Roenick Zhamnov Daze days..
