Around the NHL: Part We Get Literally No Help

In love with Jamie Benn. After Richards is bought out in 2014, I salivate at the thought of having Benn/Stepan as the Rangers' top two centers. Alas, it won't happen.

He's great. But didn't Dallas take him from wing and convert him to center?

Blackhawks take control after giving up a demoralizing goal. Rangers probably would've just collapsed in on themselves.

Doesn't really matter. The dude can play center, I know that.

Haha, I know, just a little weird. It's usually a center going to wing.

Can't wait for the playoffs. Going to try to catch every Hawks game I can. Imagine a first round matchup of Chicago-Detroit?

Did anyone catch Roszival being the 4th shooter for Chicago in their shootout against Detroit a few days ago? Went before the likes of Sharp and Saad.

Still don't get why they wouldn't forfeit the #29 pick. Has Lou gone senile?

I think the logic there is that the 29th overall in 2012 is worth more than a 1st round pick in 2014 because that 2012 pick will have 2 extra years of development. Though that strategy can definitely back fire if the 2012 pick busts and the 2014 pick ends up being high.

How awesome would it be if the devils finished 30th next year and have to forfeit the 1st overall pick.

That would be incredible.

The tears...they would be delicious.

I would laugh so much that my insides would hurt and I wouldn't be able to get out of bed for 2 weeks.

Ehhh, seems a little backwards to me but I can see the logic. My thinking is that generally a player picked at 29th in 2012 will be a worse player than a player picked in the top 10 in 2013 or 2014 no matter how long they're given to develop.

Obviously that doesn't always hold true but gotta play the odds here.

I don't know...when I play NHL 13, my draft picks in 3 years are always worth more than my current draft picks. :sarcasm:

Looks like a great night for me in the vCash department. Even bet for the Flyers.

My mouth is foaming at the thought of this.

Although the Devils should be a contender again next season if they find a competent top 6 winger. They also have Merill and Kinkaid along with Drouin/Barkov who they'll likely draft this season.

Avs take the lead with ~2 minutes left.

Blue Jackets tie it up about 30 seconds later.

3-3 late in the third. Keep on giving up those goals, Bobby! :naughty:

LOL!

I was watching the Avs feed. It's true, when the other team scores, the guy says "score" ever so ****ing quietly.
