What are the odds of the Bruins facing the blue jackets in the first round? I want them to face the jackets and then flyers if possible (not sure if it can work under this system). I want them to get physically beaten before we possibly meet them in the ECF.
From what I understand, it's bracket style. So if the B's end up playing the Blue Jackets, the Blue Jackets have to be in that matchup as the wild card. The B's remain in the "Atlantic bracket" if they win, but so do the Blue Jackets if they upset the Bruins. There is no reseeding.
Therefore, the Bruins and Flyers (assuming PHI is not a wild card team) can not meet until the Conference Finals.
Not sure if I'm right there though.
