Really do feel Crosby is a lot more likeable than Ovechkin these days

I like them both. When Crosby first came into the league I was like 19. I hated him an irrational amount. I also loved Ovie because he was initially so dynamic and exciting. I've gotten older, Crosby's gotten older, I've become a lot more mature, he seemingly has too, and I honestly can't say a bad word about him at this point. He's dedicated, successful, talented, works hard, plays all aspects of the game with equal effort, seems like a good leader and is arguably the best player in the world. I have only respect for him. I love hockey; he's the best hockey player I see, and honestly, I find guys like Crosby a lot more likable than guys like Getzlaf and Perry every day of the week anyways. My infatuation with Ovechkin has faded. I still like him as well and get a kick out of watching him tee up that one timer, but he has lost a lot, in terms of his dynamism and he's become a much more boring player. Seeing Ovechkin fail to evolve and stay at 90+ point level has only made my respect for Crosby even stronger. I also like Malkin, Stamkos, and most other supremely talented and exciting hockey players. I love watching beautiful hockey.

I hope the Stars beat the Jackets later on .

I like the Jackets, when we don't need them to lose because of the playoff race, that is. I also have developed a real soft spot for Dallas. I love Seguin and Nichuskin. That top line with Benn is something else. Dillon is a diamond in the rough. Ditto Roussel. Never thought I'd like the Stars because I really disliked them in the 90s.

Agreed on Crosby. Also the whole concussion thing he went through.. for the best player in the world to go through that, return and be as good as we was, without missing a beat, is pretty special by him.

I don't..I love stone age hockey with grinders and goons with the bench clearing brawls

Lol Yandle.... falls down as the lone man in position to defend against Tyler Johnson SHG....

Would anyone do: stepan nash and 1st for ovi?

Possibly. Probably. It takes a lot of thinking. Stepan's eventual cap hit, plus Nash's cap hit, will be bigger than Ovie's and Ovie will always give you 35-55 goals, pretty much no matter what. You can add another player with the difference in salary, but our center depth struggles and I can't really say I think Ovechkin is the kind of player that will help a team win when it counts. Ultimately, I maybe do that deal, if it's on the table right now and not later, when Ovie is older, but I hesitate to do it for Ovie. For Malkin? For Toews, even? I do it. Ovie... I'm not sure he's ever going to win anything but individual awards.

Definitely, and I admire how hard he worked to come back and stay the best.

Anisimov 6 goals in last 6 games.. good to see him break out, i still didnt like this trade...

Laich ties it 2-2

i hate both Caps and Penguins

The Caps broadcast crew re: (rebound control problem from Halak): What a weird bounce.... look at that bounce....

Kunitz again.

solid find by the Ducks scouting staff. too bad they did not keep him....

he seems to always be on good teams.. solid player i hate because he is on a rival team but when he was on the ducks i was a fan of his.

The Laich goal was pretty slick from Backstrom.

This Kunitz goal you could see from 20 miles away. As soon as the puck hit Halak I knew they were scoring.

The Caps are a really crappy organization. They had this dynamic, dominant Ovechkin kid. They had this guy Green putting up big time, Karlsson like numbers from the blue line. They added this guy Backstrom whose point per game for his career. They had this complimentary sharp shooter named Semin. They got this great young d-pairing of Alzner and Carlson. They got this good, two way leader in Laich. And they failed to ever address the holes that remained around those guys, managed their roster poorly and never improved or capitalized on their potential. Now they're a mess and don't really belong in the playoffs, IMO. Terrible management. Erat for Forsberg, really? Give up on Varlamov, not Nuevirth? They just strike me as having squandered more talent than any other team right now.

I have always hated Chris Kunitz. Easily my least favorite Penguin. Then again I hate most Ducks too, so it makes sense.

with the situation with Kuznetsov being able to play in the NHL this year after playing in the KHL, any chance something can happen with Buchnevich in the next 2 years, where he can play later in the season after his contract is over???

i never had a problem when he was on the Ducks. its when he got on the Penguins its when i started to hate him..

Honestly, I hate when these coaches don't just let a kid get some ice time in their debut. Kuznetzov needs to have more than 7 minutes through 2 periods if you want him to get confident or have any impact. You're not easing him in. You're just wasting a roster spot and babying him. I'm not saying throw him to the fire with 20 minutes, but let him get a shift or two with the top PP and let him play 13-14 minutes.
