Anisimov is only 1 goal away from Rick Nash :laugh: who would have though that would happen at any time during the season
 
Matt Cooke went knee on knee with the russian kid on the Stars.. hopefully Cooke will be suspended. such a dirty hit
 
Anismov still constantly leaves me wanting more. So much skill but he's a perennial 0.5 PPG player. He was supposed to be a good playmaker and for a while he was, but when he couldn't score he was passing, now he's scoring but not passing. I seriously think that the guy has 55 point potential and is constantly stuck at around 40. So much skill, seems to go to waste.
 
Do you guys think that a package centered around Kreider could have gotten us Seguin? Can't help but think maybe Stepan as his stock was high at the time. Ugh.

Was thinking the same thing. Callahan/Kreider for Seguin/Peverley is what always pops into my head, decently comparable package to what Dallas gave up.

Callahan had an assist tonight btw.
 
Kreider has great potential but it's not nearly as high as Seguin's to begin with, plus he's not a center, plus the need to motivate him worries me.

Meh, he's a rookie, his inconsistency doesn't worry me. Took Paccioretty a bit to really adjust to the NHL level, and Kreider is a very comparable player.
 
Damn i want Gazdic on our team. That guy is complete grit. He's a champ fighter too, has won 10 of his 15 fights or something. That knockout on Westgarth the other day was clean.

Would take Gazdic over Dorsett anyday!

I ****ing prayed to god that we would get a hold of Seguin when he was in Boston... Im still grumpy we didnt

rather have someone that can play a little. Matt Beleksey or Cody McLeod or Jarred Boll.. someone that is more than a fighter that can fight when needed..
 
Absolutely horrible what happened to Matt Stajan and his wife. Couldn't imagine the devastation of losing a child. My thoughts with both of them.
 
I've been saying it since Nov, but goaltending will be the reason that the Hawks wont go back to back this season
