We've had a good mix of the league parity blended in with speed and skill becoming more common throughout the league. It's been a good breakout show for a lot of good young players too

Honestly I think it’s more that these 8 seeds are outliers

Most 8 seeds don’t have a player as good MacKinnon, let alone Rantanen. Those are guys that can win a series by themselves practially. And the Blue Jackets roster is just far superior to a typical 8 seed. They’re like the 11-12 Rangers on steroids.

The playoffs have been full of surprises and very entertaining so far. It's kind of relieving to watch playoff hockey and not be living and dying on every shot and save like I am when the Rangers are playing.

I can remember being not enthused some seasons with the playoffs, but I find this year's pretty damn interesting. Haven't watched a microsecond of Caps-Canes but all the others. Some good surprises, especially when I barely see a few of the teams all regular season.
