Really tough to overturn the call on the ice but that clearly looked above the crossbar to me.

I’m worried Getting the wrong UFA just for that veteran leadership. Seen so many times that go wrong but at this rate JG will have to do that this offseason if he trades Kreider .
Having said that I agree it does is much better having Dallas resign zucc or another team if he wants more than 2-3 years.
Not the right place to bring it up but I am a bit worried having a bunch of first rounders and trading everyone over 26 that can play hockey. I understand these are tough decisions (I.e. the Kreider debate)
 
If you wanna watch Zucc, hop on the Dallas bandwagon.

He's tearing it up. Great people, great arena, great atmosphere, fun team. Having a blast with them.
 
20 minutes from moving into the 18-20 range with Winnipeg's pick!

That Washington-Carolina game tomorrow is legitimately the first game that we've needed to go our way that doesn't feel like it will.

I'm not counting the Tampa series, because it seemed like we all turned on them in record time.

The type of vets they should be looking to add are the ones who will come here on a 1 year deal.

Between Staal and Hank, I think we're ok there. I think we have enough middle agers (Zib, Fast, Strome, Namesnikov, Kreider and Vesey if they stay) to worry about having too many kids.
 
So Vegas win guarantees us at least the 20th pick correct? Man have the hockey gods had our back setting up for this draft or what. That’s a great spot easily could have been 28 or so.

Correct.

Then Columbus and Carolina advancing to the ECFs would each make it one more slot to the good.

With a Carolina win tomorrow, we have the best possible outcome for the first round, save for Tampa losing. And if Columbus gets past Boston, then we gain that extra slot with Winnipeg's pick because of it; so not all bad.

so, if I read this right, Stars just have to get to WCF, which they will do with and upon the start of that series
that and one more game for Zuc

Stars do not have to actually win WCF, just get there.
So as long as that series starts, which is inevitable, and Zuc plays at least 1 game, which is likely but don't count that chicken until its hatched, then we also have Stars 1st, and we then want them to start losing to max our selection.
