That is true. Well he played 6 games so far. As long as he starts the Blues series we should be ok from that perspective.I believe Zuc needs to play in at least half their playoff games as well, so an injury could derail it even if Dallas wins the next round.
If Dallas beats St. Louis, Rangers get Dallas's #1. But wouldn't that #1 move lower if they won the WCF? Why would you want Dallas to go to the SCF?4 more wins Dallas. Minimum.

It would move the first to 30 or 31 if they made it to cup finals. I guess if they face hopefully Vegas in the WCF we have to root for Vegas albeit it would suck rooting against zuccIf Dallas beats St. Louis, Rangers get Dallas's #1. Edit: For Zucc playing in starts?
Zucc shaking hands with his left
well they are gonna need him so unless he is really hurt he starts that blues series. Also because one of their better players Hintz maybe suffering some ill effects from that elbow he got hit with. Not good. They have another bull**** condition on a condition thing where Zucc has to play in more than half the playoff games.
More than half the games in the first two rounds. Only way that isn't met if the next series goes 7 games and he plays 0 of them. So you can relax. Not good. They have another bull**** condition on a condition thing where Zucc has to play in more than half the playoff games.

Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has acquired forward Mats Zuccarello from the New York Rangers in exchange for a conditional second-round selection in the 2019 NHL Draft and a conditional third-round selection in the 2020 NHL Draft.
The second-round selection in the 2019 NHL Draft will become a first-round selection in the 2019 NHL Draft if the Stars advance to the third round of the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs and he plays in at least 50 percent of the team's cumulative games over the first two rounds. The third-round selection in the 2020 NHL Draft becomes a first-round selection in the 2020 NHL Draft should Dallas re-sign Zuccarello in the off-season.
20 years is their entire history, so that includes the years immediately following the 1998 NHL Expansion Draft. Even after you shave off the first 4-5 years, they were playing teams in the playoffs like the '04 Red Wings, '06 Sharks, '07 Sharks, '08 Red Wings, '10 Blackhawks, '11 Canucks, '15 Blackhawks, '16 Sharks, '17 Penguins, '18 Jets... some tough customers. Things are way, way easier now with the new expansion draft rules and the absurd [praise be] draft lottery.I know he has the most career wins of any GM in the league but will David Poile ever be held accountable for Nashville's playoff failures? 20 years and his team has made it past the first round 5 times. It's nice having 4 defensemen who can put up 40 points or more (Subban didn't this year but he has before) but their forward group isn't good enough.

With 6 games in the bag, the max number of games the Stars could play is 27. If they are eliminated in the WCF, a max of 20. So 4 games to be safe if eliminated in WCF. 8 more games to guarantee 1/2 the games played.
Wait why are we cheering for Toronto?
50% of GP in the first two rounds, not entire playoffs. With 6 games in the bag, the max number of games the Stars could play is 27. If they are eliminated in the WCF, a max of 20. So 4 games to be safe if eliminated in WCF. 8 more games to guarantee 1/2 the games played.
It's only 1/2 accomplished so far, so still TBD.Thread title change, please. Dallas: Mission Accomplished 2

They don't have an Ovechkin. Hell, they don't even have a Kuznetsov or Holtby.Eventually that Nashville window will close.
Although we said the same about Washington
