Puck looked under his pads to me. Got a replay showing the loose puck?

Given that the ruling was that Ovechkin pushed in Mrazek’s pad, it doesn’t even matter if the puck is loose. It was goalie interference.

Which is what I thought right away on the replay.

Exactly he just pitched his stick under the pad, no way that would ever be ruled a goal.

That line has been awesome tonight and Comeau buries it after they burn poor PK

It's funny and sad at the same time that my first reaction to that 3 on 1 was saying that our 3 on 1 wouldn't have even gotten off a shot.

Frankly, it’s weird to even be having this conversation.

At the time of the trade, most people would’ve pegged the Jets pick for 28-31. Having it at 26 felt like the most realistic best case scenario.

Now we find ourselves at 22, four picks higher than 26. Moving from 26 to 22 last year was worth a second.

Now we’re talking about 18-20, which is roughly the equivalent of another second if we were to try and move up from 22.
I'm enjoying rooting for Dallas and I guess even more that there is a lot on the line for the Rangers future.
Definitely was worried once tb got eliminated and the Jets being up 2-0 in the third of game 5 that we were looking at probably only a 28th pick at best. A Dallas win tonight and things really look decent

Under the pad is fine if he gets his stick on a puck that’s loose, but not if he shoves in the pad.

Anyway, new Canes owner has to be happy here. If Forbes is right, the team lost about $4m last year. 3 playoff games is very literally the difference between profit and loss. If they can win in DC next game? Even better.

1. That may be the first time I've ever cheered Comeau. Feel like that guy kills us no matter what team he's on.

2. Zucc is a warrior. Part of me wants him to come back July 1 and be the Captain going forward. But another part of me wants them to advance to the conference finals and then resign him so we get 2 firsts for him.

Canes lost a lot more than $4MM last year. A lot more.

But the owner has to be thrilled. Full building and ticket sales for next year way up. They have been calling back employees they had laid off to help man the phones. Also parlaying this into an agreement for some much needed building improvements. Nice shot in the arm for the franchise

Depends on how bitter he is about being dealt. He can always finish his career here with a few one year stints after how next five year deal if he's still NHL level at that point.

Dallas is playing a terrible game. They’re pulling a San Jose, should be losing. Hopefully same outcome as San Jose.
