Someone pls tell me how the Leafs are not f***ed with their cap situation. They have 30 million tied up with 3 forwards. 36 for 4 including Marleau, still excluding Marner and Kapper's new contracts.

They will 100% have to move Nylander at the draft.

based on TB's roster they can still add 4 more high paid players

I think they'll find a taker for Marleau in the offseason too.

Ducks getting smacked around in the first again by Montreal. Countless lazy turnovers leading to good chances.
They should start selling off their vets. Getzlaf, Perry, and Kesler should all be on the market but they're not. Carlyle is still the coach there. Bob Murray is in fantasy land (sic Disneyland) over there.

Kesler sucks and is signed for 6.8 for 3 more years after this current one.

6 points in 45 games RIP
Lolz. Makes Staal's contract look good. Perhaps someone dumb can be swindled into taking Kesler if Anaheim retains half his cap hit.

People ***** and moan about our roster but Anaheim is in much worse situation IMO.

How so? They have a young NHL-proven goaltender, good young blue line, and a lot of good young forward prospects. I think their coach sucks a dogs ass and they have had bad injury problems all season, but I think they're in better shape than us going forward.

Perry's contract is bad. Kesler's is really bad. At least Getzlaf is still somewhat productive but for how long? Basically they have contracts they'll struggle to move. At least we are tanking and building a farm system. Ducks are stuck in no mans land.
