There is a duality to it. It's good that it weakens the Devils and can help us leap them but Kovy is one of my favorite players to watch. Sucked to see him in that much pain yesterday.

Yeah, but knowing the Rangers they won't take advantage of this. He'll miss 7 games at least.
I hope they'll go 2 and 5.

theyre a young team with confidence...the Rangers are not a confident team and haven't been all season, although they have some young players, they are not as young as last years team (i'm guessing, but the acquisitions made in the offseason).
 
Morrow will probably be all the Penguins will need and he will be relatively cheap versus other rentals . They have great management in Pittsburgh . If you look back at their contract history...they rarely ever have a bad contract . Look at our team...absolutely the most pathetic in all of sports over the last 15-20 years...Milbury like . Our franchise is run absolutely terrible...we are more bent out of shape than the leafs have been over the years and we have had soooooooo much money to utilize for most of those years . We always make fun of Islander teams... when we are not a whole lot better .:nod:

Remind me of all our top 5 picks
Or even our top 14 picks. We missed the playoffs once post lockout

Figure out how many dollars Sather spent in his tenure here versus playoff wins...don't forget to add up all the buy outs and bonus money and any other wastage along the way .

Now I know how terrible Sather is, but perhaps using GM comparisons isn't the best when talking about the Islanders lol.
 
The Leafs might be better this year, but they absolutely take the cake when it comes to wasting money for nothing post-lockout. Even with this pretty bad season and all the overpaid free agents, at least the Rangers are one of the more successful teams since 2005, while the Leafs will be the last team to make the playoffs eight years later.
 
Hmmm...well...just how far ahead of the Isles are we as of today ? Which team has the best youngest Franchise type player on it's roster ? Who won the last game between us ?

LOL...don't have me go any further...I have run out of questions .:)

I'll put some more perspective into it. I have NEVER lived through an Islander playoff series win. I'll be 19 in June.

Which team has the better goaltending?

Which team has the better defense?

Which team went to the ECF last year?

Which team has tons of lottery picks?

Those are some questions you can ask, maybe hopefully answer as well. :shakehead
 
Hell, between Millbury and Snow, the Islanders have put together quite an awful GM campaign. Sather might suck, but at least we make the playoffs here and there. We even win some of these series's.

We also dont' have the luxury of these top 5 picks.

The Islanders haven't won a playoff series since 1993. That's 20 year. We won 2 playoff series last year alone. :laugh:
 
As of today...how many points are we ahead of them ? I'm just saying...we are just not any better then they are at this point and we have spent countless Millions to arrive where we are all with one guy at the helm . The Isles have been through owner changes...and GM changes . It is a good thing they have probably been more mismanaged then us...because we would be the NY team looking quite the silly duck these days . :nod:

One guy at the helm. C'mon. The Isles have sucked in the past years and contrary to popular belief, John Tavares isn't the only player on the team.

P.A. Paranteu was there and Matt Moulson scored 97 goals in the last 3 seasons.

As of today doesn't mean **** because we're 30 games into a ******** season.

"As of today" we're better than them, and significantly so, because we've been better than them since the lockout.
