Another classic Lou Lamirello trade.

Wouldn't be shocked if Dagostini is a solid fixture in their top 6. Always had the skill.

one rule i think they should change is to make that players must take off their helmets before a fight or a 10 minute misconduct... i love it when both players take off their helmets, especially if they wearing a visor.

Have a feeling you won't be seeing that one.

Anisimov scores, 4-1 CBJ.

With their 4 first period goals, the Rangers are now the worst scoring team in the NHL.

Columbus can also tie the Rangers in total points with a win.

Would not be shocked if CBJ makes it further than the Rangers.

Been rooting for CBJ all year, theyre definitely my favorite team in the West. They remind me a lot of the hard working Rangers team in 10-11, especially when Gabby was out and we were a score-by-committee team of young, hard nosed grinders. If only our current squad worked as half as hard as that team. We'd be in first by a mile.

WOW Tim Erixon, such a great talent. Elite vision, great stickchecking and smooth skater. I watched the 2nd period and he was by far the most impressive player on either side. He's like a poor man's Lidstrom.

well they did have Anisimov Tyutin Dubinsky Erixon and JAM (although never Rangers property) at one point :help: at least JAM made the NHL debut already. good for him

Red Wing pick...Martin Frk had 8 points tonight as Halifax beat St John in the opening game of the playoffs 11-1 . Drouin had 6 assists and McKinnon was 2 & 2 .

Washington found their game.. 5-0 over Jets so far.. Sunday wont be easy....

Datsyuk just scored his 250th career goal vs. Anaheim, one of the easiest of his tenure, I'm sure. Why don't the Rangers have hands like his? :(

Petition to change the title of this thread to "Unfavorable Comparisons to the Rangers" thread.

LOL @ Lupul:

LUPUL SENDS TWEET AFTER RANGERS' NASH ESCAPES DISCIPLINE:

Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul, who was suspended two games this week for a hit on Victor Hedman, tweeted in response, "If someone can explain the decisions on what warrants a suspension and what doesn't, please let me and the rest of guys know."

Expecting a fine. I guess he doesn't watch the Shanny videos.

Waaaaaahhh!!

Not as bad as Kaleta crying, and then Miller crying about him crying.

I love how people are saying that Nash wasn't suspended because he's a star.

Was Corey Perry not suspended for 4 games?

What cracks me up is the people claiming Nash got special treatment because he is a star (Perry, Ovie, Giroux, didn't get that). Or the ones claiming that since Nash is a Ranger he gets special treatment. Where was that special Ranger treatment last year when Hagelin was suspended three games in the playoffs?

There was no special treatment because he is a star, and there was no special treatment because of the team he plays for.
It is just the inconsistency of the NHL, I don't understand why people are surprised by this as the only thing consistent about NHL suspensions is how inconsistent they are. Nothing fishy going on here.

Personally, and I know I am in the minority here, but I don't think it deserved anything more than a fine, maybe 1 game at most. It looked to me like he was trying to avoid a collision and hit Kopecky, and he obviously showed concern after the hit.

But yeah, back on topic, Lupul comes of looking like quite the baby here and I wonder if he will be fined like Tortorella was after criticizing the pens.

Good for the Jackets, have watched quite a few of their games this year. Still think they wind up toward the bottom of the west since they have played 19 home games and 12 road, but nice to see them do well.

Until they enter the division next year, and hopefully Rangers beat them every time.

He had no prior history of suspensions, there was no penalty on the play, nor was Kopecky injured because of that play.

Not surprised at all that there was no suspension.
