If anyone's interested, the Hurricanes retained 900K of Jussi Jokinen's salary (which I believe someone said they weren't going to do). Buffalo retained 795,000 of Pominville's salary (both from CapGeek).

Stralman taking heavy flak from other fanbases about last night's "dive."

I still maintain he got hit between the pad and the pants, but perhaps my vision is clouded.

He dived. But it doesn't matter.

People's reactions to dives have become more annoying than the dives themselves. They happen, just move on.

whats the point situation look like for other teams? like do they all have easier schedules compared to us?

What's great about the Rangers final 9 games, is that they are in complete control of their own fate, which is something we haven't been able to say with regularity in Rangerland, and they have certainly earned that position.

In the final 9, four of the Rangers games are:

Leafs
Isles
Devils x2

That's not only the potential to gain 8 points, but take 8 points away from teams chasing us, or that we are chasing.

Also, the games against the Islanders and the Leafs are the only two games in the final nine that the Rangers play against teams CURRENTLY in the top 8 of the East.

The playoffs are here for the taking, the Rangers just need to go grab them.

Bruins Devils
Senators Devils
Devils Maple Leafs
Devils Flyers
Panthers Devils
Devils Rangers
Canadiens Devils
Penguins Devils
Devils Rangers

Devils has a pretty tough schedule compared to the Rangers, We also own the tie-breaker. I like our chances vs them.

Let's go Flyers & Tampa tonight!

Of the six teams surrounding them in the surrounding them in the standings the Rangers have the easiest schedule according to opponents projected pts.

Did you just make that on excel at work?

St. Louis Blues will bring up 20 year old Rookie Dmitrij Jaskin , the QMJHL scoring sensation. The 6'3 205lb Russian born Czech will not make his debut tonight vs Nashville. why wouldnt the Rangers do this with St.Croix once his season ends? any chance that will happen to give him a taste at the NHL players around the NHL lifestyle??

St. Croix is still in the playoffs and I don't believe they'll want to waste 1 yr of his ELC during an early exit.

And he's not as good as Jaskin.

Pretty much it.

Because Jaskin is 6'3 205 and St. Croix isn't?
Also, we don't have a spot for him.
