Whoa

I mean, they'll be fine, but he was a good goalie for them.

I don't think they will. Their roster markedly worsened over the offseason. Losing their better goaltender puts them into an even more precarious situation.

I mean any team that gives significant minutes to Orpik and Scuderi is going to struggle, no matter how good their top centers are.

all of those that wanted a tough guy... be prepared..

per Tim Wharnsby, Edmonton has placed Ben Eager on waivers.

maybe a Powe for Eager type deal could happen..... this has Sather all over it.. reclamation project... only 29 years old....

He scored against the Rangers when they played.

That guy has a screw loose and talk about bad penalties...

maybe the Rangers need that from time to time.... Canucks had players like Lapierre and Glass doing that so maybe Eager might be an option..

i can see a Powe for Eager type deal if AV feels he can use more size....

Not necessarily arguing that we should claim Ben Eager, but he's ****ing nuts and I love him. He's not completely worthless out there as a hockey player. Unless you're replacing Asham with him, though, there's no room.

This. I can't overstate his nutsness though.

Flyers accouncer (the idiot): Colton Orr is also really good at dragging people down to the ice (after a commentary on Orr's fighting prowess.

Damn good play by the Wings there

Definitely. It's funny though, because I also really liked what Buffalo's PP1 unit was doing. You've gotta believe that those deflections are going to go in every once in a while. Would like to see higher opportunity chances, but Howard made some great saves on that sequence.

watching this level of puck moving ability makes me so ****ing depressed as a rangers fan.

The main thing I've noticed with other teams is that they look to make a play before resorting to dumping it in. The Rangers were so trained under Torts to just dump it that they never even looked to make a pass or a move at the blue line. As the season progresses and we shift towards AV's system, we should see much better puck movement.
