Karlsson/Hoffman stuff is disgusting.

I have a hard time believing it gets to this point if there was nothing happening offline to support that it was really Hoffman’s wife writing those messages.

And if the claim is going to be that her account was hacked, any reasonable person would have gotten rid of their account if it was getting hacked so much 1000 false messages were sent over 5 months.

It is disgusting and even moreso after we heard about them losing their unborn child if this proves true. The Sens appear to be an absolute powder keg, a complete mess and now this? I`ll guess that Hoffman has punched his card outta Ottawa if this proves to be even a remotely accurate accusation

If this is even partially true, what team in any league would want this guy on their team or in their dressing room!
If true what started this?
Maybe Hoffmans fiance was treated unfairly by Karllsons wife and her friends, to which, all are to blame.
But wishing death of a child, death of a spouse, or brutally ending someone's livelihood is seriously deranged behavior!
This crap will continue though until the law makes it illegal and starts penalizing people for it!

Which makes this so very awesome. Bruins will need to deal with Debrusk Carlo and Macavoy.
They'll back the brinks truck up for McAvoy but I can see Debrusk and Carlo getting something like $4-$5 x 5 each, unless Debrusk hits 70 in the next 2 years.

That Pastrnak contract is a work of art.

It is pretty incredible when you consider this.

Over the past two seasons, among players 21 and younger, only Connor "12.5 million man" McDavid has scored more points or has a better PPG than David Pastrnak.

Pastrnak's total points and PPG average during the last two seasons is better than "Mr. 10 million" Jack Eichel.

And I can almost guarantee it will be less than Matthews, Laine, or Marner get on their next contracts.

Bergeron 6.85
Pasta 6.66
Marchand 6.125
And this is speculation on my part, but Bergeron essentially started the ball rolling by not making outrageous contract demands. I'm sure if he pushed, he could have gotten more, even back then.

Then I'm guessing Marchand would have felt bad asking for more than Bergeron. Same with Pastrnak.

Again, purely guesswork on my part. I'm just glad we have those three, and at those prices.

It's nuts how much Bergeron has meant to this organization, in many ways. I really appreciate all three guys, but Bergy is on a different level.

who knows what to think about the ott stuff but lets be honest here: we all wish this was happening in mtl. That would really be throwing gas on that dumpster fire!

As of right now, neither sniffs that amount. We’ll see after next year. Carlo has no pull. He didn’t exactly play lights out and actually took a seat upstairs. Same with DeBrusk. I think DeBrusk will get more though.

Thats fair on Carlo. To his credit, he has only been scratched for one game in 2 seasons playing #1 & #2 RD at 19 & 20. He definitely struggled playing next to Krug, but he was solid enough that I'm not too nervous for the future there. I can see him getting a Hjalmarsson type deal, 4 years, $3.5, maybe a bit less. At the very least, Adam McQuaid's last contract.

For Debrusk it really just depends on what he does in the next few years.

If JDB maintains this level of play, I could see a Beleskey type deal for him.

Friedman explores Lucic trade dynamics

Friedman explores Lucic trade dynamics

“I think he wants to get out of Canada. I don’t think he wants to play here anymore. I think that’s another situation where the wife has seen how much heat the player has taken, I think, and isn’t always comfortable with that. I think he wants to get out of Canada, but you’ve got to find a willing partner and even if I wanted Lucic I would be saying to the Oilers, ‘What premium are you going to be giving me to do it.’ “

Bruins moved Lucic at the right time. Amazing that just 2 years ago, they got a starting goalie, a 1st rounder and whatever Colin Miller is, for a guy who's value is now next to nothing. Of course that monster of a contract isn't doing any favors.

One team I think is going to have some very hard decisions is Tampa

They got several big time contracts staring them in the face

JT Miller RFA
Point RFA 2019
Kucherov RFA 2019
Gourde UFA in 2019 (ouch)
Paquette RFA

I didn’t even check the D

McGuire said not an issue for Tampa. They have a plethora of prospects. They can afford to trade some of their big names.
