Is this serious? Bruins have 4 breaks of 2 days from February 9th till the end of the season. They have more, longer than that in October alone. That end of season schedule will be brutal come playoff time.
It seems to be a trend. Surely the schedule writers can do a bit better.

Vegas on a Sunday night??

West coast swing in Oct ?!?! Can’t remember that happening in a long time . Always see the Bs here in Vancouver Feb-March .

Once upon a time it seemed like a tradition. If anything it's a good way for the team to bond and get to know each other really early, which to me can only be beneficial.

Is it just me or does this seem to happen every year?
Feels like it. Bruins went on a tear on the March stretch this year, but they seemed to start to wear down by the beginning of April.

Doesn’t matter to me I guess . I hate buying tickets for an event many months in advance . The Sedinless Canucks will be a disaster again ... although I don’t want to sit through a repeat of what they did to us here last season . That was rough lol .

Finally, they play in Nashville on a Saturday!!!!!

But, they play in Carolina on a Tuesday before that. Do they fly back to Boston for a couple days and then to Nashville? Or just head to Nashville early (or stay over in Carolina) and hang out?

Let's hope they don't have any canceled games to make up for like last year.

Feels like Bruins have been porked by the schedule the last 3 or 4 years now. End of the season run in has been brutal for years now.

for a while now @DKH has been saying Bruins win the cup in 2020 and I've wondered to myself "why not 2019?". well now we know. 19-20 season the league finally gives us an easy March and the Bruins roll into the finals healthy & hungry

The Sticks (West MA)
out of those 3, big yes please to Niederreiter

NN has 101 goals over the last 5 seasons, so he’s good for 20 a season roughly. He’s under contract at $5.25m for the next 4 years. He’s also going to cost you a fair amount of assets if you deal for him.

Obviously, there is a 9 year age difference, but if you think you can get 20-30 from Kovalchuk, pay him $6m for the next three years, and he doesn’t cost you anything but Cap space...why wouldn’t you make that move instead?

depends on the assets it costs. Kovalchuk is a pretty big unknown and risk. 35 and 5 years out of the league is a pretty big red flag.

So, if it cost you Bjork and a pick or something similar, you would rather have Niederreiter than Bjork, Kovalchuk and whatever else you had to give up?

I would rather take the chance on Kovalchuk.

If Kovalchuk's asking price and term are reasonable (say 6x2) then I would go in that direction. Niederreiter's price will definitely hurt with a good player or two going the other way

how would you have felt had Kovalchuk 'voluntarily retired' from Boston 5 + years ago, instead of New Jersey.... would you STILL WANT him in Boston knowing that?
