Stamkos skating!

Clarktard suspended two games for his stupid headshot on Vladimir Sobotka.

What an inconceivably stupid hockey player. Embarrassing that Toronto management gave him that disgrace of a contract.

Such a stupid hockey player and such a stupid contract.

Ovechkin is about to score goal #400, at age 28.

If he stays in the NHL for the duration of his career (Lets call it age 37) can he score 800 goals?

Who ends up with more? Ovechkin or Stamkos?

I think Ovechkin does. Stamkos plays with St.Louis and i think that is a big plus for him. St.Louis will retire soon so who knows if he can do it without him?

I lean towards Stamkos for these reasons...

1. Who knows if Ovechkin will go to the KHL. Age 35? Would cut potentially a few years off his NHL career. Jagr would be #2 all time in NHL scoring had he not gone to the KHL for 3 years.

2. Ovechkin plays a more energetic, crash and bang game for his goals. He has a ton of energy. How long will that last? Not too many guys like Ovechkin have ever existed, so its hard to make a comparison. He seems like the kind of guy who might slow down late in his career, as opposed to Stamkos who seems more Brett Hull-esque, will score goals even when he can't skate any more.

Craig Anderson lets in two really soft goals and just like that Ottawa is almost out of the game.

And this guy was going to be a Hart nominee? A team USA olympian? What a joke. He's the same enigmatic, disinterested goaltender he's always been.

It's a real shame how bad the Sens are this year. I looked forward to watching some good hockey from them.

EDIT: 3-0 now. Cody Ceci is playing really bad. Totally overmatched this game.

Let's not pretend like having Bäckström, Green, and Semin to play with hasn't helped Ovechkin's scoring totals, either. I hate the "but he plays with St. Louis" argument. So? Hull played with Adam Oates. Kurri played with Gretzky.

First goal was horrendous, shot would be stopped with regularity in the ECHL. Second goal as Jeff Carter being Jeff Carter,

It was a great shot by Carter, but Anderson should've been more prepared. Caught sleeping a bit. Didn't help that Ceci got assaulted by two Kings to take the puck away.

Deserved the pull, he's been trash this season.

He's going to be playing with Drouin soon too, he's got quite a quality crop of linemates.

In no way does that discredit his point totals.

However, without Backstrom as his center, I don't think Ovi consistently breaks 50.

He must have a case of Hankcreatitis . It is almost an epidemic .... ;)

Peluso next might be suspended. hit gologoski. tie game 3-3 Dallas and Winnipeg getting a little nasty. teams are showing some emotion in this game. i wish Rangers had emotion instead of being dull robots

If anything Ovechkin helps them. Ovechkin plays his game and they follow.

Who is talking about Hull and Gretzky?

> My point

> Your head

Youre bringing up two guys who dont even play anymore to prove your point? ok.

Semin is gone and Green isnt the same as before. Ovechkin just seems like the better scorer imo, both sick players tho.

I rarely ever see people try to diminish the accomplishments of those two goal scoring phenoms because of their linemates. Why does it always happen with Stamkos?
