As a Vancouverite who played contrary and chose to not be a Canucks fan, and instead, became a fan of an "opposition" team to the local fan base, I chose to be a Rangers fan, among other reasons. Had I started a few years later, after the Hawks and Nucks playoff rivalry become heated, imagine the wonders I would be experiencing posting in HFCHI right now instead of here with you sods.

I checked the score at the end of one with Flyers leading by 1-0 and it was an odd feeling to know that the Hawks were no less than 50% to win the game still. I go and make a Nutella sandwich, and they've scored three.

I can't even laugh at the flyers anymore because of how much a joke the rangers are

blackhawks went from being an embarrasment in the league for so long to looking like a dynasty. would be nice if the rangers became like that eventually..

At least I can always find solace in knowing Toronto will plummet down the standings at some point. Thank you Leafs!

A tale of two fan bases... every time the Leafs win a game, I have to hear about how Kessel is the next Gretzky and what streets to avoid when the parade happens. Better hope they don't become the next Boston Red Sox...

I'm not being callous but there turn around is 100% linked to the death of their owner. Just saying.

As for Hawks fans, you are right; Wirtz's death has a lot to do with where they are now. The games are blacked out in hell, I'm afraid.

Their fans have already paid for this success.

I was just a kid playing Super Nintendo and picked the only city I heard of.

We were both so innocent. We don't deserve this.

Growing up in Alberta my dad went to an exhibition game where the Rangers played someone can't remember who, it was in the 60's I'd imagine probably the Habs. Anyway he liked the Rangers jerseys and decided to be a Rangers fan... Sins of our Fathers, am I right?

On second thought I could have became a Habs fan, so I guess there is that.
