meh. he won the norris and puts up points. dmen like suter and weber got 12-14m on their first few UFA years in their deals.
Really bothers me that the Norris is basically just another scoring trophy now. Suter should have run away with the Norris by a mile last season.

what was the purpose in swapping Sergei Bobrovsky for Steve Mason, was their ever a KHL risk with Sergei Bobrovsky?? otherwise this deal made no sense...

It boggles my mind that people on this board didn't want to sign Ryan Suter. Best dman to hit UFA in a very long time. I don't care that he is signed until he is 40. Perfect defenseman.
