I wonder if the Blues will fire Bannister, he's just an absolute mid coach that hasn't really done jack shit with the roster he has and the team is just awful as a whole.

I could see a bunch of teams maybe feeling like firing the coach is fine now that Boston fired someone like Jim Montgomery who wasn't even doing as poorly as the other teams are that are hanging on to shittier coaches.

You can possibly add these teams that should be firing their coaches: Penguins, Sharks, Hawks, Preds, Habs, Flyers, Ducks...

Lmao, Caps are #1 in the East. I am sure everyone knows that won't stay that way, but it must be nice to have a coach that isn't a dipshit.
I'd be happy with an ownership group that showed they'd fire dipshit coaches. This group of f***bags extend dipshit coaches two years before their current deal is up, following their fourth consecutive 1st round loss.

Daccord is 9-3-1 with a 2.31GAA and .923sv%

You'd think Kraken were top 3 in the West just by his record and that the back up couldn't be that bad.

Back up is definitely that bad.

Grubby sucks. 1-6-0, 3.11 GAA and .881sv% it's like all the hard work a goalie that is 9-3-1 does is shit all over by Grubby lol.

Winnipeger coming in peace . I don't think Sullivan is a bad coach but coaches have shelf lives with the same team . Paul Maurice was a good coach in Winnipeg but had been here too long and the players got tired of listening to the same things for years ( structure motivation etc...} .

A firing of Sullivan seems inevitable probably for the same reason and Monty would be a good choice and Sullivan would be a good replacement in Boston .

Where does the Preds' blunder rank on fireable offences for a coach?
I don't know if that's the coach or the GM, Trotz went and added a bunch of shit for Brunette and kind of f***ed everything up. That team was supposed to retool/rebuild and he went balls deep with adding Marchessault, Stamkos, traded away Askarov, Skjei, etc.

The blunders in Nashville are 100% on Trotz imo, Brunette suddenly had to make 2 veterans work in a system that he was trying to implement with a mix of youth and veterans and now has a bunch of veterans accustomed to a certain style.

Pens fan replying with utter disdain about this topic...

Sullivan is very much a bad coach. He had 2 good seasons with 2 cups, he had a decent hangover year after that with 50 wins but near the end of that season his warts were in full view.

  • Arguments with players
  • Not adjusting the system, getting out played in the playoffs by the Caps, not adjusting to their game and stuck to his guns like Bylsma used to
  • Issues with how he used Reaves
  • Wanting Brassard and then misusing the shit out of him
  • The Ian Cole debacle and Reaves debacle caused the Pens to lose a 1st, a goalie I really saw as the future #1 in Gustavsson, that entire issue set this team back a ton IMO because for one it showed Sullivan got his way and JR didn't put his foot down to tell him to f***ing deal with it.
    • Sullivan would later dictate more moves like this.
  • Youth bs is over blown for the 2015-2018 seasons, he had "his guys" from WBS that he used heavily, but after that he barely used youth much at all, for a long time he kept using ZAR in weird usage and Doc is being used like shit now, same for Puljujarvi, Puustinen, Poulin, Gruden, etc. He has no idea how to develop players at all and he really has no idea how to use players to their strengths.
    • To add to this - He commonly "adjusts" games of players to play his way, not to use them for what they're good at in his system, a good coach sees what he has and adjusts his system to make it work with his roster, Sullivan forces his players to work in his system instead and the players look confused, react slow because they're unsure of themselves, this has so many affects to players mental game and everything else, they completely lose their confidence and some bounce back while others definitely don't and this can also severely stunt development.
    • Ask yourself, how so many other teams develop players that were seemingly ok to meh into good NHL'ers but the Pens don't? Are they crap? Maybe a little bit, but a lot were players that could have carved out a decent career but he refused to use them over useless veterans.
    • Last year he kept playing White for 10 games when he clearly sucked, Harkins for 40+ games and he wasn't even a good PK player or used on it, didn't even score a f***ing goal, yet Gruden was a far better 4th line energy player, Hallander literally left prior to this because he saw the writing on the wall with this coach.
    • Powerplay sucks ass again, can't blame Reirden now can he? Sullivan forces usage of the players he panders do vs what he should use and Quinn has to work within those parameters.
      • Quinn sucks coaching the D, they all look bad, worse than last year under Reirden.
  • He healthy scratched Jesse Puljujarvi after playing well, literally no reason to do this at all - yet he won't healthy scratch Acciari for being trash, Beauvillier gets the most insane usage for a streaky player that is a combo of E-Rod and Heinen but a little more useless in various ways, he kept jerking Glass around before he got hurt, he completely shits all over Puustinen for some f***ed up reason, even had Hayes be an excuse for being bad when it was 100% due to Acciari being a dipshit. Now he's playing Nieto a ton over Poulin, Ponomarev, and Puljujarvi when they're playing better than Acciari and Nieto are.
  • The entire pens system/structure is non existent with how they play, its funny he goes the team speed is foot speed and mental speed, players play quicker when they're planning and know what to do next, in his system they don't so they play slower because they are unsure of where to be, their defensive collapses were mounting for a while, they had stretches of this over 7 seasons and it'd be corrected by Sarge or Reirden but then they couldn't anymore because Sullivan wanted them to play a certain way and no matter how good you coach the D, they have to play a shit system and then have a dipshit coach make adjustments to their game that isn't beneficial to them and then get shit all over for it when they were never this bad anywhere else.

f*** Sullivan. I hope the Jets hire him and you can see how f***ing stupid he really is.

Leafs fans are such idiots, always in the trade forum trashing players they want thinking their pea brains will manifest some crazy theft of a trade where they give up nothing for a solid player. Frost has the looks of a player that can put up 50-60+ points if he just gets the f*** out of Torts grips, the Hawks will likely end up with him and I could see Frost being a 60-70pt C for them if that happens.
