If the psychotic adoration of Sully wasn't so frustrating, it would be genuinely fascinating. Like, I cannot understand why he's still so worshipped by the organization. Dude first started showing issues when he couldn't solve a god damn forecheck against the Isles in 2019. Then, stubborn to a spiteful degree, he rode the JJ-Schultz pairing that was one of the worst d-pairings in recent memory, and refused to shake up GCRust during the Habs play-in. He's had nothing to show since 2018.

It's so odd. He must be exceptional at exec-speak and bullshitting in interviews.
The moment he drastically changed the usage of the bottom 6 after the cups, I knew his idea of a system that will keep the Pens a contender was going to fail.

It's beyond old school and demented really. Throwing some truly awful usage to the 3rd and 4th lines and asking them to succeed is like chopping off a blokes arms and asking him to show you how many push ups he can do.

Sheahan was weird enough to succeed in that usage and then he wanted someone else who has never done that kind of usage and he tanked so Sullivan then tanks Sheahan even more with harder usage than his bounce back year. Rinse and repeat for the next 6 seasons, Blueger was one that really truly pissed me off and I am sure I said enough about it over the years when it was happening. Seeing him now in Vancouver, he's bounced back from the bs by Sully.

Then his issues with Cole which was petty as shit and forcing the trade of Cole and Reaves which hurt the Pens a ton with what they had to give up and how it threw them off further. He then did it again with Kessel who was great with Sid but Phil And Geno knew they weren't a fit and seemed like they told Sully who kept doing it anyway and then he also started to cut Geno's minutes which pissed him off further and he had every right to be pissed. Then all the other shit we've gone over about this clown if a coach ad nauseum.

But the rah rah shit, I didn't like it with Disco and like who gives a f***, who were they trying to impress? Dan was nice enough, they never needed that shit, but boy did they start criticizing the shit out of him the last 2yrs. It got to be too much with that narrative of look how funny Dan is, look at how Dan loves and respects the military, Dan reads and writes Books! Lol. Now with the Lord of complete sentences, Mike Sullivan, they truly went harder into it. Where it seems like no one is allowed to question him at all in the local media, broadcast or anything and they immediately push some great thing Sully said or did or has done every week without any reason to do it other than to brainwash you to think this team is failing this brilliant and amazing coach that deserves better, lol.

It's sad to know Torts will probably get fired during this season (We won't get to see that with Sullivan) or the end of it depending on how Briere sees it does Torts f***ing up Michkov for just this season worth the lottery changes? Or could the damage be worse by not firing him during the season because Cutter now seems all the wiser for wanting out because of shit like this with Torts.

14-1-0 man. The Jets even wrecked the Stars today.
Now I'm curious what the best ever records are for certain checkpoints...like 15, 20, 30 games.
We've seen teams go on insane runs before but usually after a month or two or late or middle of the season. Wasn't there a team a couple of seasons ago that had a 10 game win streak and then a 10 game losing streak? I feel like it was the Flyers, also felt like something Sully did in one of the years too.

Their streak ended, I don't buy that bullshit of last season carried over, f*** that.

They had a great run of 8 wins in a row.
And they're on another of 6 in a row after their first loss.

For me it's the way they're winning. There's a lot of fat margins. They trounced Dallas, shut out Colorado... They can do it any way you want.
+36 GD through 15 games is ridiculous.

So I looked up the best 20-game opening stretches in the cap era. We got the 2012-13 Hawks at 17-0-3 and the 2022-2023 Bruins at 17-3-0. So they can't drop another point over the next 5.

Yeah the Flyers did have that weird anti-run. In terms of winning streaks mid-season in the cap era it's Columbus and Edmonton at 16, 2017 and 2024, respectively.

Haven't heard Sprong being a bad teammate at all. He knocked out this loser F1 wannabe and if anything that made me like him more because that driver bloke is a real piece of shit.

Also if that was the case, Tocchet, JR, and Allvin to wouldn't have signed him. Their issue was they thought they could add the defense in his game to balance his offense. Doesn't work like that. Also they had a lot of his types before that didn't work in Tocchet's system - Podkolzin they just moved in the off season and Bains is one that's there that's very similar. Also Tocchet kept trying him in the top 6 and really I would have gone with using him with Blueger if that was his issue. But in any case Seattle wanted him back via trade so if that was an issue, that wouldn't happen.

Also Canucks wanted Lurch to get a shot this season so trading him has them call up Lurch aka Lekkerimaki. If you see what he looks like, Lurch makes sense.

I am sure Gurgledshits is going off about Sprong, I've never seen a fan have such a hard on of hate for an ex prospect like he does for Sprong. I don't even want to check by logging out.

In Dutch I believe his surname translates to "man who wipes hands and ass on drapes"
Pretty certain it translates to Jump or something to that extent.

Not really even talking much about it cause sprong is pretty irrelevant, but made this pretty funny comparison:

Not sure how I feel about the men’s side of the HoF.

Roenick won over a bunch of fans, but never took home any awards.

Weber was considered one of the league’s top dmen in his prime, but never captured a Norris.

Datsyuk. No issue at all with him being inducted. He was a one-of-a-kind player.

The current number should be the maximum. There should not be a minimum.

JR is a piece of shit but then again he joins a hall filled with racists and wife beaters so he is right there with the right company. Weber? Lol, that main board felt Letang wasn't worthy and I guess if Weber is, so is a bloke like Tanger.

I think Roenick gets a boost for his effort at the 96 World Cup. I don't agree with it, but if I squint I can kinda see it.

But yea I agree on the others. If Weber is in, Tanger is in easily too. Never the best Dman in any given season, but Top 5 or so in every year.

Datsyuk is an absolute lock
