Honestly, I don't mind this. All of the drama makes up for the years where they eliminated the Pens in the playoffs. If that series from 2016 was a Netflix special, then this would be a full season.

Speaking of drama it's gonna be hilarious when the Canucks keep a 32yr old JT Miller who is basically the lockerroom version of Tortorella over the 26yr old Elias Pettersson because of the rift between the two. Classic dumb guy JR move, you can see it from 10 miles away.

JT has a full NMC which he supposedly has said he intends to use if need be.
EP has 1 but it doesn't kick in until next year.

The out-of-town schedule was almost nearly perfect for us tonight. Not that we deserve it, but we could still be in a playoff spot if we win tomorrow. We probably won't win tomorrow, though. We play Florida, who played tonight, which is good, but they lost in regulation (the one game that didn't go our way), which is bad.

Edit: I'm wrong. Ottawa also plays tomorrow, against St. Louis. So we need to win our game and also have Ottawa lose in regulation. With that said, Ottawa will be tired against a rested St. Louis team, so them losing is possible.

Also, Tampa lost to San Jose in regulation, and Tampa has a brutal schedule this month. They might find themselves in a surprise slide down the standings.
