OT: Around the NHL: Cup or bust for the Leafs and Oilers? Bust it is!

Grubauer sucks so hard. Disco has the Kraken looking fun and Wright is having a great game finally. I think this could be the pressure he needed off his back.

Sharks also look great, Warsofsky is someone I liked as a coach option a few years ago, he's getting his Sharks to finally flush out the Quinn bs, but still a young team.

6-5 right now.

Rangers imploding, you love to see it
Drury talked about rebuild/tooling a couple of seasons ago, so it's something he's finally pushing now that the team isn't doing great. But they'll rebuild and retool faster than the Pens because even with a shitty owner, they still have more brains to do the right things and do it quicker than the dumb shit the Pens do.

If I'm Drury I move Shesterkin, Panarin, Kreider, and Trouba. Zibanejad you can keep then because of the cap you move and save and you can retain on Panarin and Shesterkin to really kill on the market. That's what I would do.

They could get an insane haul of firsts and prospects from contenders. I'd shop Shesterkin to the Avs.

I'd do 50% retained, Kakko, Shesterkin for Avs 1st, Ritchie, Georgiev (the return to NY lol, cap dump), Ivan Squared, Behrens/Olausson, and Avs 2nd 2027

Bloody hell, Grubauer is f***ing awful. That wrist shot was taken all the way from Long Beach and it went off his glove? Lmao.

Poor Disco.

That was the furthest out I've seen a player rip a wrist shot with the goalie seeing it clean and flub that, well the last time was Murray but holy shit that was bad. I don't get why they even play the bloke, he's absolutely f***ing dreadful. Waive his ass and call up Stezka or Kokko. Or use a bin.

Sharks are a lot of fun. Celebrini will be a top 5 player in the league within two years, and Grier did a good job picking up Walman, Liljegren and Askarov.

Yzerman moving Walman never made sense. Grier did well picking him up.

Picking up Askarov was hilarious, Trotz f***ed the Preds up so much since taking over. Waiving Fabbri was absolutely asinine and then moving Askarov, yikes.

Also, Michkov with his 3rd OT goal so far. Might be too good a player for even Torts to ruin. Shame.

Already tied with Sid for most OT goals scored under 20. Sid also got an extra full season on him.

I want to kick all the GMs who passed on him, minus Chicago, in the testicles for letting him go to Philly.

Of course Binnington also tried to end his life shoving him down after he beat his mediocre behind.

I mean, pretty sure young Sid would be nasty in 3-on-3. Same goes for Geno.

Podkolzin looks good for the Oilers, always wanted him on the Pens, young winger with huge upside but wasn't making it on the Canucks, also happy to see Kap score. Hope that's a sign of better times for Kappy.

Didn't even occur to me but it's funny that Guerin had Evason as his coach for years in Minnesota then traded for Jiricek who was in Evason's doghouse and relegated to the AHL.

I just saw the STL Blues jerseys that they will be wearing in Wrigley Field, what is up with all of these bland and awful looking uniforms made for special events in recent years?

I hate the Blackhawks but their uniform set looks incredible compared to the Blues.

I just noticed Granlund has 29 points, more than any Penguin. Another Sullivan masterclass.

Besides the fact that he’s on SJ, apparently he was going through a divorce or something during the season he was acquired.. I dunno. He does look better than he showed in Nashville the entire time there, too.

He was featured in countless highlight reels for years before going to in the Top 10 to Minnesota. I think his last two teams (Nashville and Pittsburgh) were just bad fits.
