It was odd how the team got Sheary back, he did well enough with 4pts in 8 games, then I guess Sullivan didn’t really care to want him back after his 2nd go around. But he was one of those players that was a fit in Sullivan’s bizarre as shit usage.

Usually Sullivan wants his fellow Massholes around as well as smallish NA wingers. Although, he didn’t seem to care much for Hinostroza.

Sheary had a pretty rough start last year in Tampa, he had some thumb injury and then hurt his pinkie and had to tape two fingers together and get used to holding his stick in an uncomfortable way in his left hand as a left handed shot. I guess after healthy scratched for half the games and his play, now healthy, carried into this season was enough.

I was always shocked he wasn’t hurt by this hit last year, tough little wanker:

The Caps are so much better than the Pens and they both were in a similar spot 2 years ago…it’s an embarrassment to the organization…

This org has been nothing but an embarrassment ever since Mario sold it to those Beantown sacks of shit.

I wonder if we’ll be Phoenix in the next 10 years??

And this time we won’t have Mario/Sid to swoop in and save us either

I don’t think we will get to that point, we’ll just be an at best middle of the pack sort of team that will talk about what could have been if Sullivan didn’t coach for 15 seasons and then was the GM for 10 more years.

Jets 7-0-0. The record is 10 straight by the Leafs and Sabres.
Next 4 opponents: Flames, Leafs, Wings, Jackets

McCann taking off under Bylsma. 11 points.
Kraken look good under Disco, he’s constantly trying things with the line-up, system, etc.

Their issue is the same as the previous years, shit goaltending. Daccord and Grubby are awful.

This gets mentioned enough on this board that I’m convinced that some of you weirdly want it to happen…

Well given how f***ing incompetent FSG have been and don’t seem to give 2 shits either, you can’t blame folks for speculating.

It took Mario and Sid 25 years to turn us into a premiere, storied, franchise, and it took those Bostonian dildos 25 months to start tearing it all down.

I shudder to think of how bad things’ll be once Sid and Geno hang them up.

At least the Gen-X Penguins tried and were fun to watch.

90% of this team meanwhile is dogshit on a stick and has been for years.

Good to see Joshua Norris back and playing well. Some were saying he might be done after his 3rd major shoulder surgery.
Continued good health.

It seems like there's a lot of teams having goalie issues to start the season and some are carry over from last season and some new. Tough to say who needs a goalie when some bounce back eventually but that could also change by not either.

It's a lot of goalies that are under 900sv% and +3.00 GAA. Some did bounce back recently but jeez I didn't realize how many.
  • Markstrom
  • Allen
  • Kuemper
  • Copley
  • Jarry
  • Nedeljkovic
  • Georgiev
  • Varlamov
  • Mrazek
  • Skinner
  • Ingram
  • Boobtitsky
  • Rittich
  • Vasilevskiy
  • Hill
  • Pickard
  • Korpisalo
  • Vejmelka
  • Merzlikins
And then loads of young goalies that are just having a really rough start. I recall last season Shesterkin also had a rough start and Vasilevskiy as well and both bounced back. Kind of curious to see if there's a few that usually start hot that are starting the opposite way and get hot or consistently better down the stretch or just done.

For all the Penguins suck now it could be worse. The Oilers are getting punked by Columbus and McDavid left the game after one shift. At least we have 3 cups to remember this era fondly.

Even Ovi, who had many pretty damn good Caps teams, has less meaningful hardware to show for it

We were very lucky to get 3 Cups....so close to maybe doubling that number too

Firing Quinn was the right move but putting Warsofsky into this while not really upgrading much of this team and then the top player being out...yeesh.

What a shit way to start your NHL Head Coaching career.

Oilers never understood how to build a team around any of the players they've tanked for, for years. They've wasted Eberle, Hall, RNH, etc. Then more with Drai and McWanker by hiring Bowman, an absolute f***ing loser of a human being and they deserve him and this shit. f*** the Oilers.

It's lucky this team had Shero and Disco lay down a pretty good foundation and then quick moves after those two were fired is what kept this team relevant.

They knew being complacent cost them a couple of years, so their idea was to be even more complacent to destroy the rest of the Sid And Geno era. It sucks.

3 points and Granlund crushing it in the OT for SJ…

That's what happens when you go from being utilized as a shutdown center to being allowed to use your skillset successfully. Sullivan purposely sabotaged Granlund because he was pouting over not getting Chychrun.

Actually...more to it.

He was going through a divorce when he was in Nashville and his wife at the time was talking to a bloke back in London that she was cheating on him with, filed for divorce and went and met him for the first time that year in June. He's good now but at the time he was not handling it well.

Sullivan did use him like shit, but Granlund also had a lot of personal shit he was dealing with.

It's still insane to see all the former Penguins explode offensively and we can't even buy a goal.

Add Granlund and McCann to our lineup and it's a different team, although that's probably wishful thinking with that donkey Sully still at the helm.
