Yeah, I lost my **** at that game, dude. I was kind of depressed after the Lucic goal because I wouldn't have been able to see a game seven (going to Great Adventure tomorrow, aw yeah), and then BAM. 3-2 Hawks. Craziest ending to a game I've ever seen in the playoffs.
...still not as good as Richards' tying goal in game five last year, though. I miss that Richards.
yea but I still have this odd feeling that if we don't buy out Richards he'll have a bounce back year
Did the buyout time start yet? Yesterday at 11PM right? Or is it tonight it starts?
Only 3-4 players were boughtout?
No, tonight at 11pm. The ones you've heard about are the ones who've been informed in advance by their teams.
So much for my "Kunitz is the odd man out in Pittsburgh" theory. He just signed a 3 year extension with a 3.85 million cap hit per year.
He took a discount. He would have easily gotten $5 million/year next summer.

Tampa Bay Lightning @TBLightning 56s
The Lightning will use a compliance buy-out, as allowed by the NHL’s CBA, on center Vincent Lecavalier http://******/mr0TP
So do we have to listen to Lecavalier-NYR rumors all summer?

I wouldn't say Kunitz is 100% a product of Sid (much more talented than say, Dupuis) but he is nowhere close to a $5M player without Sid.
Kunitz would've easily gotten $5 million on the open market. He cooled off at the end of the season, but he was easily on pace for 40 goals.
Wow, I didn't think Tampa would actually buy Vinny out.
3.85 is a very good AAV for Kunitz. People forget that he was solid in Anaheim; he's not simply a product of Crosby.
MSL as next Bolts captain?
Cant wait for all the hate posts of "WHAT? RICHARDS WASN'T BOUGHT OUT? WELL CLEARLY WE'RE AFTER LECAVALIER!"![]()
