Why is the term 'banged up' become so prevalent. CBC saying that both the Pittsburgh stars are 'banged up'.
Third round of the playoffs, isn't everybody 'banged up'?
BS excuse, more like Crosby and Malkin are not leaders. Who is a leader on this Penguins team?
I sure don't see one.

Iginla? Morrow?

Bring out the brooms!

Will the Pens locker room quit on Bylsma? I wonder what they're going to do with their goalie situation in the off-season. Maybe sign Bryz after the Flyers buy him out? :sarcasm:

We actually put up a challenge in games. Scored more goals...

I guess what really gets me about the Penguins' addition of Iginla and Morrow was the perceived smugacity (new word, quite similar to 'smugness') of it.
Like all they were so perfect and that these two veterans (I have nothing but respect for both Iginla and Morrow) would just cement it. The media fawning all over it like it was some master stroke.

What a lot of people don't realize about all their additions, they turned over like 20% of their roster.

What is it they say? If it's not broken something something something?

I really do appreciate what the Rangers did. Whenever the Rangers played the Penguins I always figured that that would be the game where the Rangers shut them down. I guess they did it one game bigtime.
The Rangers have way more character than this particular Penguins team does.

It could just be the Bruins match up better against the Pens. They have been bullying them around this series.

There's always that piece of the puzzle in play, I agree. I actually did not see much evidence that the Penguins had much confidence in this series, maybe game 3 was semi-close, but they basically have looked and acted like a beaten team every single game.

Edit: The Bruins being amazing from the net out is obviously part of this domination

The great strength...and weakness, of the salary cap world: league parity.

Playoffs are more about rock-paper-scissors than anything. Just about any team that's relatively healthy in the playoffs can win the Cup in any given year.
