I'd think the Jets would find out from Perreault first if claiming him suits his family life. He went to Montreal to fulfill a childhood dream and to go back "home". Laval is basically Montreal anyways.

You'd have to think a 2 month trip to the Peg is more desirable to him than a trip to the minors. Matty P would be a nice free addition for a playoff run.

I am surprised Perrault isn’t trade bait with salary retention . Would be good depth for the playoffs.

That said I think he only played a few minutes for the Jets in the triple overtime game.

He's got 5 points in 18 games played. I don't think he's even playoff depth at this point.
