Around the NHL 2024 25

Wolfe can forget about the Calder two games in a row Flames should have won and Draisaitl just won the hart with tonight’s performance. Oilers would have lost tonight without him.

Ya they are winning alot but we are too, we take care of our own business and they can't catch us.
100% agree. The Jets can’t be worried about who might catch them. Actually I don’t mind at all that the other central teams are chasing hard. Forces us to stay focused and keep the foot on the peddle. Makes these games down the stretch more fun.

I’d like Dallas to start losing, especially since they’ve been getting outplayed but finding ways to win anyway.

But if we can keep winning we’ll run them out of games. They only have nine games left to overtake us, a win today would cancel out Dallas’s win last night and run them down a game.

I just worry about injuries 😪
Yeah, that is always a risk that applies to all teams, and you sure in the hell don't want the players worried about it. Our best hope for playoff success is for the team to be in battle mode right now and have that carry on into the playoffs. That is why I'm liking being in pretty much a dead heat with with Washington for the President's trophy and having Dallas chomping at our heels.

Next 6 for Dallas: @Seattle, Nash, Pitt, @Minn, Van, Wpg

Next 6 for Winnipeg: Van, @L.A, @Vegas, @UT HC, St. L, @Dal.

Jets need to go at least 4-2, and one of those 4 wins are going to have to be against Dallas, in all likelihood.
Starts with a win today, but winning 2 out of the 3 on the road trip will help a lot especially if the Stars puke up a game or two

We got a tough schedule, lucky we seem to play better against top teams. Our point buffer is looming large rn.

The only realistic shot Dallas has is to win that head to head with us. That is going to be a f***ing battle.

I love this time of year. Games take on a whole other level of importance. I'm pacing around my house doing a countdown before leaving for the game. I'm like a kid waiting to open presents on Christmas morning.

Agreed and WAAAAAAAAAY better than trying to just make the playoffs with not much hope of getting in.Even though our last 2 years haven't been good , there is nothing better and more fun than a Winnipeg White-out.

I'm also not one of those people that believes last season's playoffs have anything to do with this year's playoffs. Every year is unique, and lessons can be learned. NHL history is littered with teams who have failed many times, until they finally break through. I also trust Arniel much more than Bones to make the right roster moves and in game decisions to maximize our chances. And ultimately it will come down to Helly being our best player. And he is due for a massive playoff run.

Still need to rest Helle some while in this battle. I’m assuming Comrie goes today.

Comrie may be otherwise engaged. From IC:

The Jets hit the ice for a practice on Saturday as they prepared for their final game of four straight in Winnipeg. Given they’ve won two straight no surprises that there were no changes to the lines or D pairs. Worth noting that Eric Comrie’s availability is uncertain as his wife is reportedly expecting a child anytime now as per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press.

If they crap the bed today against Vancouver, that really puts them behind the 8 ball in going 4-2. Winning in both Vegas and L.A is going to be very tough. Then there’s Dallas/St.Louis

Yes, must win today*. I’m sure the energy around our team will sour a bit if we let Dallas hop us.
