Around the NHL 2024 25

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I’d bet my house the Jets don’t go 8-1-1. Best I can see them going is 6-4-0
Then Dallas would have to go 8-2 to tie us with points and take the tie breaker, no?

Edit: we'd have the tie breakers. If we go 6-4, they'd need 8-1-1

Then again, my math could be off. It's early where I am and I'm just finishing my first cup of coffee

With the win streaks the Jets have had already this season the last thing i would do is bet my house against them, i still like my house.

Tie breaker is RW Jets and Stars both have 38 … Jets have 3 more ROW the next tie breaker but if Dallas ties the Jets chances are they will have more RW.
Either way I think the Jets Stars game in Dallas next week will be for 1st place.

Sidney Crosby’s career-long point-per-game consistency has broken an NHL record he shared with Wayne Gretzky.

By scoring 8:49 into the first period for Pittsburgh against Buffalo on Thursday night, Crosby registered his 80th point to assure he’ll finish his 20th NHL season averaging at least a point per outing.

Honestly, to be consistently good for 20 seasons... hat's off.

Race for 1st in the west is tight between us and Dallas but I wonder how the team feels?
A few of them have mentioned in their media availabilities that they want to maintain the lead and not face Colorado in round 1.
But on the other hand, you gotta wonder if some of them would welcome that challenge, as a form of payback..

Honestly, if they give off the feeling that they’re scared of Colorado and aren’t keen for payback, then that would be worrying, in that they also fear they don’t have enough to overcome their past embarrassment.

I don't know about that , they still lost to the last place team in the league and gave up 5 goals to the lowest scoring team in the league.
Just like in the playoffs the Leafs came up short last night but the knob gobbling going on about in the SN booth about the Leafs is nauseating, I get it is a home broadcast into Southern Ontario but greatest team with the best players isn't even close to breaking 100 points yet.
