The Wasatch Mountain Range got its name from the Paiute Indians, which lived near the mountains long before Mormon settlers arrived in the 19th Century. The Mormon pioneers adopted the Paiute word "Wasatch" as the name for the mountains. But what does Wasatch really mean? According to Utah Native-American expert LaVan Martineau, the word "Wasatch" means frozen penis!

On page 186 of Martineau's well-researched book on Utah Indian legends, lore and language he records:

"Wasatch -- the name comes from the Paiute and Ute Indian phrase pronounced Wuhu'Seai, meaning Frozen Penis. Feels like the Flames won that trade. Unloading an underachieving pending UFA, a young player who is holding on to an NHL career, and a 2nd rd pick for 2 potential top 6 players with term in return. Holding on to both 1st round picks they own (Jersey and Florida's) maintains the assets needed to improve on defense next.

Is Briere trying to be a worse GM than Ron Hextall? 4 RH shot wingers in the top 6, 2 170 lb wingers for the 3rd line. Noah Cates as #1 C. Not sure the play there.

Probably the last legendary French Canadien goalie we'll ever see.

If the Four Nations is an All Star game, should have got the call instead of Binnington, imo.

Don Sweeney not picking Kuemper or Thompson either is pretty suspect. Cirelli and Marchand over Scheifele, maybe there's a reason why the Bruins aren't a playoff team. Swayman will be at the 4 Nations though.
