Was a pretty mutual mugging though...McDavid threw punches while sitting on Garland (who was holding him). McDavid got a match penalty in the final seconds for attempt to injure. HAS to be a suspension.
Refs let it carry on instead of blowing the play down and sending both off, then you don't get the garbage. you're right though needs to be a suspension but will they, also Myers's actions needs a suspension but he's no superstar.

Agree it was poor reffing to let that play on. Should have blown the whistle and sent both to the box.

Laine gets a PP goal (the only kind he can score) and as usual abandons any defensive awareness or effort!

I'm wondering how USA is going to run their goalies at the 4 nations

I'm assuming Helle gets the 1st start... if he plays well, do they ride him?

At the end of the day, there's 13 days between our last league game in the first one after the break. I was concerned about the extra workload if he does play (potentially) all 4 games, but I don't think it would be an issue even if he does. That's a much lower work rate than he's used to

There's also the possibility that "playoff helle" shows up and he only gets the first game before Ottengier or Swayman takes the ball and runs with it

Still dont believe the players are going to take this seriously... or the coaches - i think all goalies get a start

After reading the Nucks and Oiler boards.....now convinced that crosschecking a guy in the face...is a-ok...
