Hit the nail right on the head, haha. Especially with Miller, I feel like in the right group of guys that kinda attitude is how you win. Petterson just goes out there and plays the game definitely but I don't really think he's having a good time at all, at least I've never got that impression seems like he's just thinking about what he can spend his money on next
Watched a Canucks hockey chat with Dreger...he compared Miller in Van to the days when Wheeler was in the Jets locker room demanding max effort from everyone (or at least everyone that was not his immediate friend). Said the issue is it created small cliques in the locker room and it was irreparable.

Exactly what's happened. Petterson got paid (11.6m) and now he's at like 30% effort and I guess Miller doesn't like it. I don't like it either. He's on pace for like 18 goals this year, if you look at his stats since he signed the contract it's pathetic

I loved Wheeler’s commitment to the Jets and to the city. When he was at his peak he was also a show stopping talent. He was an all in guy but his leadership style wasn’t for everyone and he couldn’t seem to find the right balance. We also had some head cases here during Blake’s run as Captain and that didn’t help.

Seems like a much calmer more focused environment now post #26, post #29, post #13

The stan debate is what it is... but man im glad we dont have to argue about whether wheeler is locker room poison or a leader anymore...

No question that the locker room is better and there seems to be very little dissension around coaching as well. Winning makes everything look better, but the cohesion is not accidental and not to be taken for granted.

ottawa and bruins hate each other and I'm going to predict a big suspension coming after this game with the way the reffing has been going
