Sometimes desirable locations aren’t desirable.
Giving Shesterkin that kind of money was dumb given how relatively few games he played compared to his peers.
A page out of the Leafs management playbook.
He is not in the same stratosphere as , Helle, Vas or Bobby.
Can he rebound sure, but his roster is going to get worse not better.

Rangers fans (and apparently management) still seem to think he is the #1 goalie on the planet. Delusional.

He already has 2 Stanley Cup wins, he's well past his prime, and his gruesome leg injury some years back ensured he would never be among the pantheon of hockey players. Good on him for getting a retirement contract.
Tampa’s offer was eight-year’s at $3 million per year. I don’t blame him for walking.

Ottawa loses to the Jets, goes to Minny and beats them the next night, that's todays NHL any team can win any night. Montreal beats TB, Anaheim beats the Oilers.
Yup. 24 hours after losing to the Jets the Sens did this to the Wild.

I think the Sens played the Jets really well. It's worth noting that they played their #3 goalie against Minnesota for the victory, the one who was called up when Forsberg went down, and won a game in Vancouver on their streak. And the Jets got their #4 in the back to back, who gave up a couple of soft goals I would say. Maybe a team that saw the Jets as the harder of the two matchups to win?

I like seeing Minnesota starting to falter, and Colorado moving up, because the only first round matchup that I think the Jets should be worried about is the Avs.

One of those highlights that you really treasure.

Brad Marchand takes a chop to the balls and a puck to the ass.

Yeah, you know what? I'm pretty sure that vigilante justice, even against a wormy piece of trash like Marchand, isn't acceptable.

A conclusion I reached after watching that clip thirty-seven times.

Gonna need to watch it a couple dozen more, just to make sure :P

I had enough chuckles when LA came back to beat the Oil in OT, now the "obvious #1 favorites to win the cup" lay an egg against Anaheim? Oh man.

WHO KNEW that when you have a team stacked at forward but your goaltending is almost (but not quite) mediocre and your defence is even worse, that the secret isn't to go sign another offense-first forward and toss him into an oubliette on the fourth line?

Anaheim vs Oilers was battle of the “ugly orange jersey classic”. The ugliest orange jersey tonight won

When Edmonton is at home they have a chance to reclaim the title

The Knights can f*** off at any time please.

Even if the Jets don't face the Avs in the playoffs the road to the cup is going to be through them. I hope the Jets are coming up with a plan.

Not to take any team lightly but I have a feeling the cup final is going to be anti climatic, the cup final will likely be the wc championship.

Ducks also outshot the Oilers 32-23, so looks the they shit the bed in both ends of the ice

Also, two Oilers goals were on the PP, all 5 Ducks goals were 5v5

At the end of the day, sometimes bad teams beat good teams

Look at Vegas schedule the next month. They might not lose a game for awhile

Rantanen, Hintz and Aho from that crop of Finns turned out pretty well. And Laine puts up the points at the NHL level. It's really odd what happened to Puljujarvi...
Not odd at all. Friends in Leduc said Puly was a party boy and not that bright. Squandered his hockey skills by not working on them during the summer. Like another famous Finn around here.

So Jet's fans what do you think about Jonathon Toews coming back to the NHL?
He is on record saying he would like to .. would the Jets consider him?
He hasn't played in a couple of years but what a story it would be if he came back, was able to contribute and helped the Jets win the Cup! Oh baby!
