Both Fox and Braden Schneider are better players this year. Schneider is like Samberg waiting to get into top 4. Trouba's getting beat a lot this year, and it makes me wonder if he has stopped working on his skating in the comfort of a big contract. The fact the Rangers have made the Conference final twice in the past 3 years the expectations are high. He's likely the fall guy, and that's another one where Chevy gets team players for one who wanted to cash in. Maybe needs a fresh start, because he's the kind of defenseman who can be punishing in a playoff run.

I think it's easy enough to carry 8 d-men. Spurgeon is 35, Bogosian is 34, can they last a whole season? Jiricek is to the Wild what Salomonsson is for the Jets in terms of depth, but you would certainly believe Jiricek has the potential for more impact. Wild take their 1st off the board early. Still a lot of season and injuries to go.

Yeah, it's pretty awful. That first is going to be in the 20's and Hunt is likely a bottom pairing guy at best.

Jiricek can’t skate and he has supposed attitude problems. But Cutter Gauthier was taken one pick ahead of him and returned Drysdale and a 2nd. When you look at it like that, it does seem like a bit of a weak return.

Yup. I really don't want to give up our first two years in a row, so this likely helps in that regard. Or it puts us at the top of the list due to having one.
