I know that I'm not exactly breaking any news here but goodness gracious, the Predators stink (and it brings me great joy).
Yet another example of how turning over management of a team to one of its icons doesn't usually work. The list is pretty long now.

It's why I cringe whenever someone suggests Getz or Niedermayer or whoever be hired to run the Ducks.

Getz shouldn't necessarily be running the Ducks but we should've done anything possible to try to keep him in the org. That is a huge failure imo

There was never a shot at acquiring him, which is too bad because I understand why Mason Lohrei was basically an untouchable in any Hampus trade even with an extension. Kid is damn good.

Pffftt…

I wish the Ducks had a player who was struggling with only 74 points now. Lol.

I was curious and had nothing to do yesterday, so I had to look it up: the last Ducks to have at least 74 points in a season were Ryan Getzlaf (87) and Corey Perry (82)… in 2013-14.

Granted, Getz had a 70 point-season the year after that and 73 in 74 games in 2016-17 (so he likely would have hit playing a full 82), but actually discovering this was unbelievably depressing. 11 years (9 full seasons) of not having a single player being able to hit that mark (which isn't even a point-per game, it's approximately .90 points per game!)

Terry is the only hope for that right now but even that’s a tall order. I put a lot of that blame on the PP.

What. The. And I can't stress this enough. f***.

I knew something wasn't right about Brandon Tanev...
