I know i shouldn't take joy in schadenfreude, but in this specific case, it's so deliciously enjoyableI know that I'm not exactly breaking any news here but goodness gracious, the Predators stink (and it brings me great joy).

Yet another example of how turning over management of a team to one of its icons doesn't usually work. The list is pretty long now.I know that I'm not exactly breaking any news here but goodness gracious, the Predators stink (and it brings me great joy).
The ducks should hire Dan SextonYet another example of how turning over management of a team to one of its icons doesn't usually work. The list is pretty long now.
It's why I cringe whenever someone suggests Getz or Niedermayer or whoever be hired to run the Ducks.
Yeah I'm sure there's plenty of blame on both sides. I'm expecting he'll be moved by this deadline, it's usually pretty telling when a guy starts speaking so candidly about his discontent.
My guess is the Hawks should be happy with that return. I’ll also bet Jones ends up being a good fit in Florida.Jones to Florida for Knight + future 1st

Pffftt…
Connor McDavid seems to be struggling a lot this season to stand out from a scoring perspective. He's certainly not playing "bad", as he is still one of the league leaders, but he no longer seems to stand out as the league's best offensive player, but rather more as part of the pack.
League leaders as of this posting:
MacKinnon 90 points
Draisaitl 88 points
Kucherov 86 points
McDavid 74 points
That's a big gap from the top 3.
I expected he might come roaring back after the 4 nations and go on a tear to end the year, but so far in 4 games he has 3 assists, and is a -7, in 4 straight...

I wish the Ducks had a player who was struggling with only 74 points now. Lol.
I was curious and had nothing to do yesterday, so I had to look it up: the last Ducks to have at least 74 points in a season were Ryan Getzlaf (87) and Corey Perry (82)… in 2013-14.
Granted, Getz had a 70 point-season the year after that and 73 in 74 games in 2016-17 (so he likely would have hit playing a full 82), but actually discovering this was unbelievably depressing. 11 years (9 full seasons) of not having a single player being able to hit that mark (which isn't even a point-per game, it's approximately .90 points per game!)
What. The. And I can't stress this enough. f***.
