St. Louis has the exact same amount of points as the Ducks and point%. Hopefully they move Fowler to a contender so he can get a chance at a cup. Hate seeing him being stuck on non-playoff team.

No idea where to put this, I thought we had a gaming/fantasy thread but I cannot find it.

Anyhow, I do not have that much free time these days but I long wanted some type of a hockey manager for mobile as that's usually convenient. There is a manager game that I recently found and you can, via community made rosters, have the actual rosters in the game. Just started to play around, looks very nice. Perhaps useful to some:

Am I looking in the wrong place or do we not care enough about the 4 Nations to have a thread?

First 10 minutes last night I thought Canada was going to blow out the Swedes but it turned into a pretty good game.

Regardless of who wins or the lack of more teams, it is pretty cool seeing all the best from these 4 countries playing together. Watching the two Macs and Sid was pretty amazing.

It was pretty awesome to watch, the pace of play in that first period especially was just insane. Such a high level pass by Sid on the opening goal.

Sucks that Leo was healthy scratched though, hopefully the loss will create a shuffle.

Yeah, exactly. Those guys were flying at the start of the game. Just amazing to watch. But I was getting worried it would end up being an embarrassment to the league. Really glad to see it become more competitive.

Given how the game started I was happy Leo wasn't out there during that time. It will be interesting to see how the Swedes proceed from here. I'd say their backs are already to the wall if they want to make the finals. Do they mix it up and let Leo into the lineup or do they just double down on the fact they played much better after the terrible start?

I said before it started I didn't care about it. I turned it on last night because there was nothing else that interested me when I sat down for dinner. It was an exciting game. I'll still probably pretend I don't care about while I casually watch every game.

Theo got hurt, looked like a broken wrist to me. Canada has already ruled him out for the tournament. Not allowed to add, so 7th D rotates in for sure (Sanheim) but they aren't bringing in another.

Teemu was there to represent Finland for the opening ceremony along with Mario, Alfredsson and Richter for their respective countries

If you love the game and have been watching the Ducks for the past 6-7 years it has to be an amazing breath of fresh air to see the game played by a bunch of really good players on both teams. It's really worth watching.

hopefully alfredsson didn't throw the puck at anyone during the ceremonial faceoff

I feel like Finland is pretty outmatched in this tournament. Am I wrong?

No, unfortunately, you are correct. Saros is having a rough year, and the defense is questionable, especially with Heiskanen out.

We have about four forwards who belong in a tournament like this and two defensemen, one of whom is Heiskanen.

They don't have the depth, and it's not like they're filled with great-skating youth who can at least pester the opponent with a quick forecheck or take advantage of turnovers with counter-attacks. Their one goal last night did come off a counter, but as the US played with more structure as the game went on, the oddman rushes from Finland basically became non-existent.

Their best bet is to play a defensive game and grind out wins by scoring a couple goals, but they'll need Saros to be superhuman for that to work. He doesn't look like he's that guy right now.
