Crosby to Avs?

So then there would be a chance to see Crosby vs Ovi in the Stanley Cup Finals, awesome.
Pittsburgh is so stubborn and needs to blow it up and rebuild, even against the Ducks they pulled their goalie with over 5 minutes left down 1-4 as if they are in a playoff chase. The NHL will want them to win the McKenna sweepstakes.

f*** Mark Stone for injuring our Victory+ buddies! His spleen and back must be feeling pretty good if he's diving at people's knees like that.

Feels like diving at a player's knee like that should be a multi game suspension tbh, should be treated like kneeing. Just not a hockey play at all.

And to have the cheek to put his arms up like he's done nothing wrong.

Am I popping crazy pills when I think Stone was tripped by Hintz and just happened to fall pretty badly on Heiskanen? Like, sure, he still went for the play after being tripped and put Heiskanen in a bad spot, but I don't think we can fully fault players for going for the play.

f*** Mark Stone, he's a PoS, but this isn't predatory.

He seems to get slightly tripped, then launch himself into the knee. I just don't see how getting tripped at such a low speed results in him launching forward like that.

He definitely was tripped, but the trip didn’t send him flying head first into the knee. He propelled himself and it was a reckless albeit not dirty play. Honestly he was probably going to steal the puck if not tripped or at least cause a bad pass. Tough to say in that split second / it was dirty. But it was definitely reckless and the onus is on LTIR.

On the Stone/Heiskanen thing, I agree with others that this was more reckless than dirty, but the line there is pretty blurry. Once he was in that position, lunging for the puck was a dumb thing to do.

The implosion of the Canucks has been fascinating to watch.

A combination of the dangers of being bad for too long and the dangers of bringing the wrong people in to fix that.

Even if their play hasn't always been great, I feel like every vet we sign is at least beloved in the locker room.

Also maybe a cautionary tale of changing coaches.

Travis green makes the playoffs, the second round in 19-20.

Misses in the short 20-21 season.

Starts off 8-15-2 gets fired for BB (32-15-10) in 21-22and misses the playoffs.

Bb starts out 18-25-3 in 22-23and is fired and they hire Rick tocchet (20-12-4) and misses the playoffs.

Go 50-23-9 in 23-24 and make the second round again.

Start off this season 22-17-10 and currently 1 pt out of the 2nd WC spot.

Lost their captain Bo Horvat during this, looks to be losing Boeser and 1 of Miller or pettersson.
