Monday’s 5-4 overtime loss to the Montreal Canadiens was another example of the ordeal the Canucks have made out of trying to win.

They had a dominant, physical four-point game from J.T. Miller, whose two goals were the beleaguered centre’s first since his 10-game leave of absence ended four weeks ago, and his first against a goaltender since Oct. 26.

With 2+2, Miller was in on all 4 Canucks goals. It seems like he might have gotten the message and he wants to stay in Vancouver.

:dunno:

Well, sounds like Skinner is wearing out his welcome in EDM. Who could've seen that coming? I was dumbfounded posters wanted to keep a leader of this team who is the epitome of everything wrong with this squad.
I was one of them. It's because I knew/know this roster isn't going anywhere soon, and I'd rather ditch his cap hit in it's entirety after three seasons, instead of it festering around and taking cap dollars away for six farking years.

But who are we kidding? It just doesn't matter what the team does because they will find a way to do it wrong and suck.

Haha, you may be right in that regard, unfortunately.

My favorite day of this offseason was people fretting about Skinner scoring 40 playing wing on the top line. I said immediately that was absurd. We didn’t want him on our top line anymore and Edmonton was actually trying to win. Also, he’s a slow skater who doesn’t even attempt defense. They were NEVER going to let him be that with McDavid or Draisaitl for long. Never seemed like a fit.

Of course…if we weren’t going to utilize the cap savings and suck anyway…I’d rather he have just sat in the pressbox all year.
