Odd to see that of the top 10 goal scorers in the league going into yesterday's games, only 2 of the 10 have ever been traded.

And Buffalo factored in both. Reinhart (leading the league) and Thompson.

The Bruins at -16 and 3rd in the division is wild. One of those 2 stats has to normalize.

Watched parts of a couple of Bruin games and they're struggling to be consistent. It's very un-Bruinlike of them.

Also, I missed seeing this the other day:

Hope Chytil is okay. Another concussion and this one from one of his teammates is such bad luck.

I was thinking of following up with that, but didn't want to be so negative

It’s a league where anybody can beat anyone.San Jose beat New Jersey in a shutout and then New Jersey went into Florida paddle the Stanley Cup champion back to back. Such a weird league.

New York Islanders veteran defenseman Mike Reilly will undergo a heart procedure on Tuesday that will sideline him indefinitely, the team announced Monday.

Reilly didn't know he had a heart condition until it was found during testing for a concussion that he sustained during a 4-3 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Nov. 1. He landed on injured reserve because of that concussion and has missed New York's past seven games.

"It was picked up through the different echocardiograms that you do for different reasons that you go through with any post-concussion situation," Islanders general manager Lou Lamoriello said of the heart problem. "It's probably a blessing in disguise of what transpired. They detected this, something that you're sometimes born with but never knew."
Lamoriello said it could be "several months" before Reilly is back on the ice.
