Fitz did go after Stamkos and he'd likely be doing much better here but yikes. Dodged one.

Imagine having retirement home versions of Palat and Stamkos both here.

I can imagine them sitting in their diapers talking about that time they won back to back cups with the Lightning and went to the finals 3 years in a row. Back when they were still young men and productive players.

I'd be next to them in my diaper.

Unreal. The oaf literally telegraphed his forearm/elbow into Blankenburg.
i say good!

players want to complain about cte and head injuries and all that. then they even on the rangers should all call out his dirty hits tell him not to throw elbows and head hunt. but they wont so i say good go head hunting then

The most recent pictures I can find of him seem to be from about 2019. He didn’t look too bad in them, but that was 2019.
This is how I remember him. :)

I just an interview with Kevin Dean during the intermission of Chicago vs LA game...I can't believe how old he looked.
I was watching the Capitals game and during intermission I noticed Devante Smith-Pelly is a for the Caps broadcast team. He was only around 30 when he retired a few years ago. He had a decent career and was big for the Caps when they won the Cup. Didn't mind him when he was a Devil either.

The 2 years he played here unfortunately those teams as you know were not good. Hall & Palmieri led the Devils in points with 53 each individual 80 and 72 games played, respectively.

Boqvist extended by FLA, 2x1.5M.

Spilled milk but still hate letting him go, especially now that they're playing the corpse of Tatar and Dawling in the same role. He's a guy who's gradually learned to play a more interior game, and his wheels are better than half the team. He was fine in '23 when given a shot.

"He won't last in Florida" "JAG" Fun stuff the past half year with Boqvist. Glad he's found a home on a good team elsewhere in the league

getting a contract for $1.5 million is literally the definition of a JAG contract lol

good for him though, glad he has carved out a nice career

People are losing their minds over the team facilitating a three way and FLA paying Boq peanuts in the hockey-verse, WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE GUYS.

I was not at all a fan of Boqvist here early on. I came around on him during the second half of 21-22.

But looking back on it, he may be in our top-5 best drafted forwards in the last I wanna say since the Nico draft.

Come to think of it, Boqvist and Zetterlund were both from the Nico draft.

I mean, 2 x 1.5 is just about the most JAG contract he could have gotten?

I would normally agree but when it's coming from a team like Florida or a team that has a very good track record of identifying talent, it means a bit more. Plus in the fact, he's taking less than he normally would since it's Florida and no tax. I'm sure a team would offer him 2-2.5Mx2-3 on the open market easily

Look at who was running it as GM
