Once this series got to elimination game phase, the complexion changed. Games 6 & 7 fairly similar, good road games by both teams. Home team not being able to overcome a patient opposition.

4/4 in the 2nd round. 3 of the losing teams had shaky goaltending. SJ didn't have the depth or Thornton to hold up to Vegas.

This Jets team has been building for a long time though. Schiefele was drafted in 2011.

Unnecessary attitude but whatever. Poor goaltending was a much bigger factor than any gameplan. When’s the last time a game 7 started with TWO brutal goals?

The poor goaltending changed the gameplan. They were allowed to play a defense first strategy for 2 periods.

That fat six year contract is something the Predators are definitely counting on paying off for them. Turris is 28 and what are the chances of his game improving markedly?
