Baseball I can see every night action. Their players only scratch themselves and spit every two seconds and not much else.

I would argue pitchers abuse themselves more than hockey players do.

The NBA doesn't have any games until Sunday with each series' having 3 days off in between games 2 and 3 (2 nights of no games in addition to the current 3 night stetch of games).

There have been 2 games every night going back to 4/28 with minimal 2-day breaks... If all the other series' didn't end in 5 games, there would have been games over the past 2 nights.

Plus, ya know - arena availability (NSH was booked last night).

Watch, when we get to the SCF there's gonna be three two-day breaks in the series.

Baseball is very different than hockey. First it takes a lot of endurance to be in the field and getting soaked in the sun like those guys do for 7 months of the year. I've played in softball leagues and it's tougher than it looks and let's just say if you come into a competitive game all Brendan Smith Training Camp 2017, you will be in for a rude awakening.

Also, yes hockey and football and basketball players are much tougher. But in baseball if an ab injury or shoulder injury impacts your swing or an ankle impacts your stance, you're pretty useless. In hockey guys can contribute in all kind of ways. Just remember Leetch in the 97 ECF, guy couldn't shoot but he still played big minutes.

Always peeves me when hockey culture dismisses baseball player injuries as over the top or over dramatized.
