Two forwards signed and looking at their projected lineup it still feels like every forward after Tarasenko is pegged too high than where they should be on a contender.

Even if ROR is overrated, they didn't give up that much. A late first, a late second, a prospect like Thompson whose not even that good. Those picks/prospects are no more than we got for Stepan. And the rest is balancing it out with some third line forwards that St. Louis doesn't need.

The big difference is that Stepan was traded for a top-10 pick. ROR is traded for a first that can be anything and, realistically, is a late 1st rounder. Stepan vs ROR is quality vs quantity
I read the Wings were looking at bringing Filppula because Zetterberg may not play this season because of a bad back. He got a NMC too.

Not at the moment. The pendulum has swung. Montreal fans are pitiable at the moment, Leafs fans are starting to become the cancer. A loss to Montreal in the first round would humble the shit out of em.
