Andrei Loktionov got released from his PTO today.

I only bring it up because I forgot that he was a thing for awhile. I didn't even know he signed for Kings camp.

Seems like just yesterday he was scoring 4 goals for the Devils.

If the Pro Beach Roller Hockey League became a thing again, Emerson Etem would be my 1st round draft pick.

Someone should tell the editor to stop publishing stuff about hockey. I remember they were congratulating the Sacramento Kings for winning the Stanley Cup in 2012

Going to try to have a few words.

Works well in NHL 18. In reality?

A goalie can steal games. A goalie can't steal every game. The team in front of Lundqvist was not good. That plus him being off will tend to screw things up.

Even if the Rangers looked to trade him, how do you get fair value for a player of Lundqvist's caliber, never mind when he is coming off of a down year with a large contract? No team would take that deal, especially when he was just coming off of an injury.

No need to go further into it, but Talbot has been good, no question. He has done great for Edmonton and I'm happy for him, but age is a factor here. Trading Hank would have been crazy when he was (and is) well-established.

ESPN and hockey....eh...

Also, as an aside, we can claim Rychel and recoup our 2013 1st rounder.

Exactly. The only thing I'm upset about was the Rangers overplayed their hand and ended up getting virtually nothing for Talbot. To suggest they would have moved the face of the franchise is just silly.

Emerson Etem had tools but no idea how to use them. Had no concept of how to play without the puck or how to use his teammates when he did have the puck. Really good tools. Terrible hockey player.
