If the draft was rigged McDavid would not be an Oiler and Matthews would have been a Coyote.

We all know Celebrini is headed to Chicago. Gotta get that Chicago dynasty rolling again.

They also are able to effectively sign an entire 2nd line via free agency with Pavelski/Duchene/Marchment

That is something we can't and won't ever be able to do

Yeah we shouldn't be forgetting that Dallas is still a tax free state so they get all the benefits that Vegas, Florida, Tampa, Nashville and Seattle get in that regard.

They also haven't had like 3 decently high picks try and force their way off their team over the last 13 seasons.

They have some advantages we don't.

Ran the draft lottery simulator 10 times.... UTAH won 7 of the 10 spins. :help:

I got..

1. Calgary, Chicago, San Jose
2. San Jose, Ottawa, Chicago
3. Anaheim, NJ, SJ
4. Chicago, SJ, Anaheim
5. Anaheim, Utah, SJ
6. SJ, Montreal, Chicago
7. Anaheim, Utah, SJ
8. NJ, Anaheim, SJ
9. SJ, Chicago, Anaheim
10. Columbus, SJ, Chicago

So going by this. It's gonna be the Ducks.

Did PLD just get picked to play for team canada in the upcoming world championships???!! they have to be nuts!!

Does the player get their full salary on a buyout? The reduction is merely an accounting thing.
No they get either 1/3 or 2/3 of their remaining salary spread over twice the remaining length on their contract (so 14 years in Dubois' case). But signing bonuses are paid 100% no matter what, so that gets added on to their payments in the years they're due (that adds an extra $11.5M for Dubois).

Sharks fans deserved that win after this season. Interesting to note that Celebrini's dad works for the Golden State Warriors and he lives in San Fran during offseason. Kids basically just crossing the bay. Should be a good story, sort of a hometown away from home boy.

Hopefully he's got some good Celebrations . :naughty:
